Leicester Square

Postby Zachary Flint » Wed Mar 11, 2009 10:58 am

[ Sept 7th. Late Afternoon ]

The two had roamed around for awhile before stopping in the park that was in the very center of the square. Zach stopped for a moment, looking at the statue of William Shakespeare. "Hm." He looked around. "I don't think I've seen a part of London that's not fairly pretty yet."

"True. For the sake of it all, I may just stick to the tourist attractions. Speaking of that, how did Mutant Town look anyway? Was it the equivalent of some slums?"

"Not as bad as you'd think. Little bit of a rough neighborhood, but it's not hardcore gangland or anything."

"That's good to hear. I honestly don't see a reason in this day an age for it to look like that. Not to mention, there's no registration act or large amount of mutant hate until we got here it seems."

He glanced around. "Well..doesn't seem like there's much else in this area square but movie theaters, normal ones, and night clubs. Oh. There's a museum too."

"It seems like the UK didn't have much in terms of organized ant-mutant groups until we showed up. It may be the fact that the Xavier name is high profile enough to give them the attention they want, or it might be one of the US based groups branching out."

"Yeah. Sort of weird how that all worked out huh? Then again, for mutant affairs, Xavier's always seems to be a nice giant target. Especially when we're mischievous pranksters, pulling down peoples' pants and stuff," he teased.

He sighed, not really sure what to do next. He wasn't really in the mood for clubbing, wasn't his thing anyway.

"I would of enjoyed seeing that posted on the internet all over the place." He smirked he placed a hand on the statue and his eyes shifted to white. He chuckled at something that he was apparently seeing.

"Just the things people try to get away with when they think no one's watching.." He chuckled as the color of his eyes returned. He walked over to the bench and took a seat.

"So, what are you plans for when you're done college Harold? Gonna be an X-men?"

"I'd like to work with the X-Men for awhile. But, I've given a lot of thought to being a teacher. Maybe history, or civics, or literature..."

"That sounds like a good idea. Heh, not sure if I can really deal with kids to be a teacher. I'll probably end up going back home and working with my Dad. Let criminals know they're not safe as long as I'm around." He laughed maniacally.

"Hm. I'm starting to get the idea that most graduates of Xavier institutes simply end up working for Xavier's," he said, a bit offhandedly. "Not that it's a bad thing. Especially in a world that's not so keen about mutants."

"Hm..I wonder where things will end up."

"That's what I was thinking. People need to realize that all mutants aren't bad already." He nodded and looked towards the theater that was to the east.

"You into plays at all?"

"Sounds like a plan." He made his way over towards the theater, looking at the signs to see what was playing soon. He thought it'd be fun.

He nodded. "That works." He noticed the dates for most of them. "These aren't even for another week. It's up-coming stuff. I suppose it'll just have to wait until then huh?"
