A Different Undisclosed Location

Barely any light makes it into the room at all, the only real illumination coming from the dancing clouds of fireflies.
A shadowy figure enters and sets itself up at one end of the room where a makeshift stage has been pushed together from boxes. The fireflies dance around the figure, producing the propably intended effect of casting the shilouette in an eerie green light without actually providing enough brightness to reveal much beyond a dark robe.

A moth flutters around the figure for a while before slipping through a crack somewhere and disappearing. The figure waits.

[Ayami Morita]

The rainbow haired girl had wandered around London, humming to herself, when, all of a sudden, her steps took on more purpose, winding her way across town.

The door opened, and she walked in.

[Teri Napliotis]

"That took you long enough. This need for walking is annoying." Stepping to the edge of her 'stage' Teri looks down at Ayami. "Have we had any luck in finding what we're looking for?"

It's mostly a pointless question, since she has known the moment Ayami stepped into her sphere of influence again, but she finds the exchange amusing while she ponders the consequences of the conversation with Lumis.

[Ayami Morita]

"Not yet," Ayami replies, sauntering over to the front of the stage. "We've had to spend most of our time assuring the big brass that we're going to be able to control our powers, and not go around hurting innocent people. It's harder than we thought, but I think it's working. Hardest part is having to check in with a telepath each day, we hope we can get beyond that quickly.

We've got a couple leads, of course, though."

[Teri Napliotis]

"That was to be expected and is of no concern. We will take over observing those leads, right now we cannot afford to raise too much suspicion about where you go and working on the mechanics that held us is too big an opportunity to waste that attention elsewhere. Keeping up the appearence of everything being in order is our biggest priority right now until the failsafe is in place.

Have we made progress in procuring the trivialities to turn this place into appropriate shape yet?"

[Ayami Morita]

"That will not cause us too much difficulty, the only problem being the need to make sure that they are...discreet. I'm sure we can make them an offer they can not refuse.

We were hoping to get a cover for us to dissappear from campus for times, but while we're under 'probation', it'd be best to leave that on the back-burner. Probably don't want to do too much with the new security systems other than understand them, or our ship will be sunk."

[Teri Napliotis]

"Obviously. We don't care if they repair their trinkets or not, we are only interested in how they work. And all the outside help we need will be discreet. Make sure they are people who will not be missed too much. Once that is done there will be no need to leave campus again until all the pieces to get rid of that particular problem are in place."

[Ayami Morita]

Ayami nods. "It saddens us that we shall need to only stay on campus, but it's what needs to be done. We shall find the necessary people--all the necessary people--as soon as possible; this is hardly...fit for our needs."

[Teri Napliotis]

"It is only a question of time. We are in a too crucial stage of our plans to rush into it out of a desire for things of minor importance. The right things have to be set in motion now to facilitate more room for divergences from the plan later on or we will fail."

[Ayami Morita]

"Of course. We shall have the needed people here as soon as practical. We shall not, we can not fail."

[Teri Napliotis]

Teri frowns at what are technically her own words, which goes almost unnoticed in the dim light. She takes a moment to adjust what she percieves as the slightest of influence of Ayami on the swarm.

"We will have the pieces here at the right time. Failure soon won't be a possible outcome anymore, not something we have to actively work against."

[Ayami Morita]

"I...We...of course. It's not even an issue," Ayami stuttered.

[Teri Napliotis]

"It is, but it is one that is accounted for, just like faulty pieces." she narrows her eyes at Ayami. "Something that will be remedied soon once 'Ayami' will no longer carry the meaning of individuality."

[Ayami Morita]

Ayami's features darken slightly.

"No...I...of course. I am....we are...." she stutters around a bit...

[Teri Napliotis]

"Peculiar how things struggle against the inevitable. We wonder why someone would try to fight such a balanced mind." Teri's mind noticably shifts around, giving the piece of her that is Ayami just a tiny bit more say in the consens of her thoughts for a moment.

[Ayami Morita]

"You...want......to destroy....what makes me....unique..." she mumbles, trying to fight it out.

[Teri Napliotis]

"Still failing to understand it. Do you cease to be unique when you call yourself japanese? Or a student of XU? We know you understand the general idea, why is it so hard to understand the logical conclusion of that path? It's nothing new, you know, it has been done long before anything resembling an ape climbed down a tree."

She lets Ayami get a conscious, carefully filtered, impression of Teri's mind and the importance of every individual piece in the grand scheme. She can't afford to have the most crucial part of her plan struggle on any level.

"Why celebrate how little you can accomplish yourself when helping achieve so much more is possible?"

[Ayami Morita]

"Nnnn...I......we.....it's so....peaceful...." she says, still with a tinge of doubt on the outer edges.

[Teri Napliotis]

Dredging up memories of when Ayami linked her feelings with others she grins.
"You've almost done it before. You are merely scared of us. Your fear is why you continue failing to see the obvious. You will never be as safe from us as you are when you are part of us. Safer than the other parts of us, even and there won't be any conflict or harm unless you keep struggling. Why try to bring discord into the melody you've been trying to find?"

[Ayami Morita]

"But.....


....


No, of course, we're right. We're safe in numbers."

[Teri Napliotis]

"We knew we'd come to an accord." she smiles, although it's bordering on smirking. "We always do."

[Ayami Morita]

"How could we not," Ayami smirked back. "We know what's best for us."

[Teri Napliotis]

"Which right now is making sure no one wonders where particular parts of us are." Spreading her attention to the insects outside she makes sure she's aware of every surveillance camera in the area to safely navigate Ayami away from her hide-out.

[Ayami Morita]

"We will be sure to keep us up to date as much as possible, keeping in mind the difficulty with the school superiors."
