Cal dodged the blow to his head by simply lunging for the vampire's legs. He grasped the vampire's knee with his cybernetic hand and began to squeeze.

HAL? Can this thing crush bone?

Re: Vampire attack!

Morgan's vampires were suddenly reduced to crying out in pain, holding their heads as the power of her hate exploded within their minds. Their eyes flashed around wildly, then they started making their way toward her slowly, a look of feral desperation on their faces.

The vampire Zach shot, after being plowed over by Jake, seemed to not be inclined to get up. Ever again.

The goggle-less vampire evidently decided that discretion was the better part of valor. It ran blindly away from Chloe's pecking and Simon's glowstick assault. The other, however, took a swing at Simon, connecting with the back of the boy's head while he was focused on blinding the goggle-less vampire.

Cal's vampire let out a screech of pain, hurling the cyborg off with one wild kick. Cal was shoved back, slamming into a wall, across the hallway. The vampire, in the meantime, started to painfully make its way to its feet again.

Connor! Are you okay? Connor! Morgan nudged him hard with mindspeak, trying to figure out if he was conscious or not. She was well aware of the vamps coming at her and she tilted her head to one side blasting them again.

Chloe let out a scream of pure rage as she threw herself at the head of the vampire that had just hit Simon, talons flashing.

After helping Zach up, Jake turned, facing down the nearest bloodsucker before cracking his knuckles and charging again.

Simon's vision blurred as he was struck from behind, the disorienting block knocking him prone. He dropped the glowrod and tried to scramble back to his feet but it was slow-going.

Connor stirred wearily as Morgan called to him. "Bloody... got hit by a car, I think..."

Baby, I hate to do this... but think you can summon up a shield? Its just there are these vampires trying to eat me... Morgan moved so that she was standing by Connor and without taking her eyes from the vamps tried to help Connor to his feet.

Connor looked up, and through the spinning room, saw the vampires making their way toward Morgan. Wearily, he formed a small bubble... around the vampires.

He had a sort of wild smile as he started making the bubble contract on them.

Cal's eyes focused and unfocused independently of each other for a moment, before finally falling back in sync, focusing on the vampire.

The left holster came unfastened and Cal pulled the gun out, firing several quickly-aimed shots at the vampire.

The vampire that Cal was attacking went down as the bullets hit him.

The ones that Conner squeezed were more fortunate. After a few moments of pain, the force bubble disappated and, with a predatory grin, the vampires advanced on Connor and Morgan.

Morgan groaned and pulled Connor a few steps backwards through sheer will power alone. She made a decision and called out to whoever was near with her mind speak, stretching it through the halls of the Proudstar.

Um, X people.. you on the teams, we are kind of in need of help. Vampires trying to eat us and all...

Simon's tail snaked around the ankles of the vampire who had attacked him from behind, Chloe's attack at his face providing the ideal distraction. He jumped to his feet, using is tail to try to trip and pull the vampire toward him.

"Workin' on it!"

Cal's voice had a mechanical tone to it as he stood up. "Request for assistance acknowledged. Processing," he said, drawing his other gun. He held it out in perfect aim, firing off shots at the heads of both vampires.

Huh... wha- what happened...

Cal would be pretty shocked to find that he'd just been fighting while blacked out... and had managed to make two headshots on the vampires bearing down on Morgan.

The vampire struggled against Simon's tail, finally pitching forward, screaming as Chloe's rear claw spikes dug deep into its eye sockets. Then it slumped to the floor.

And suddenly, the dorm was silent.

Simon stood up, rubbing the back of his head and surveying the damage sprawled out over the hallway's floors.

"Ugh, damn it. Is everyone alright? No casualties?" He tried not to show any favoritism to Chloe in front of the others, though he did flash her a relieved smile when he saw she was still in the air.

"Alright, let's get these injured to the infirmary. Campus security can take care of this." He looked for anyone who might need to be carried, though he was still dizzy enough that he was going to take it slow.

"I'm fine." Chloe responded, putting her spikes into a pouch on her uniform "Lets see about getting these guys to the infirmary."
