[Will Stanton]

"Well, you know best...I just hope everyone involved is in good enough condition to have a meeting after all this."

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear nodded.

"I'll mention it to Ayami, but I'm afraid putting it off for much longer."

[Will Stanton]

Will nods again. "It's certainly not a situation with a simple solution. I'm still a little shocked over the whole thing, honestly--I mean, I don't know either Ayumi or Teri all that well, but to think something like this could happen..."

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear nodded, shuddering a little.

[Will Stanton]

"Like we don't have enough trouble with people OUTSIDE the campus.

If there's anything I can do..."

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear smiled, giving Will a small hug.

"Thanks, Will. You're a good man."

[Will Stanton]

Will returned the hug, silently thinking don't get jealous don't get jealous don't get jealous

"Well, I just don't want her to be unhappy."

[Byrna Cooper]

"She won't be for much longer, hopefully."

[Will Stanton]

Will makes sure to put an arm around Sara as soon as he finishes giving Bear the hug.

"Well, I can't think of too many people better for her right now that Miss Sunshine Happiness."

[Sara Stanton]

"True, even if there's no way around her borrowing emotions I couldn't imagine a better roommate for her." She smiles, rolling her eyes a bit internally at Will making sure he quickly wraps his arm around her again. If there's one person she doesn't mind Will hugging it's Bear seeing how she just hugs anyone.

"And Will, it might not be called an emotion, but decision-making is a process just like any other in your brain. Not a very well understood one, I think, but it could fall under the same principle. If something doesn't provoke fear or happiness that takes away alot of the things that make you 'judge' a decision..."

[Will Stanton]

"What, so you're saying she was doing things because she didn't feel like NOT doing them?"

[Sara Stanton]

"It's more complicated than that, but if you're entirely without fear about consequences your biggest reason not to do something is gone. Then someone tells you to do something and the part in your head that goes 'Is this a bad idea?' comes up with 'Meh'. I can see how it could work. But it can sometimes be hard to understand people's reasoning in normal circumstances, so who knows..."

[Will Stanton]

A pause.

"You mean, there's a part of you that's supposed to tell you when something's a bad idea?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Yeah. In your case that's me." She chuckles and kisses Will's cheek.

[Will Stanton]

"Right. My favorite part of me," Will smiled, kissing her back.

[Sara Stanton]

She smiles softly at Will.
"Anyway, that's what might have caused it. And I'm not sure if there'd be any way to 'fix' it. I could ask Dr. McCoy about it, but without a regularly developed brain chemistry it could mean she'd always be emotionally stunted without external stimulation." Her tone is rather clinical from falling into a more analytical mind-set, mostly to avoid thinking too much about what it must be like to be walk in Ayami's shoes.

[Will Stanton]

"Well, if they're atrophied, wouldn't it be possible for, like, some kind of emotional rehabilitation? Like, give her a three-stooges marathon or something to teach her how to laugh again or something?"

[Sara Stanton]

"No idea, to be honest. There might be a way, but nerve tissue doesn't regenerate on it's own like, say, training a weak muscle would."

[Will Stanton]

"Hrm. Well, again, you'd know better than I would about that.

Then again, at SOME point, she would have had to feel normal emotions--unless she was born with her power activated, but I've never heard of anything like that..."

[Sara Stanton]

"I'm just making educated guesses, talking to Cassiel and Dr. McCoy for both sides of the problem would propably be best.
If she even wants the help. I could imagine right now the poor girl needs some time to come to terms with what happened more than to be poked and prodded like a lab-rat, good intentions or not."

[Will Stanton]

Will nods. "Of course, of course. There's a real girl behind all this hypothesizing and wild mass guessing. Still hard to believe..."

[Sara Stanton]

"Right now her power is propably a good thing anyway. With a roomie like Bear here I'm sure she'll be able to pull through."

[Will Stanton]

"Right. If there's someone's emotions to lean on, it's gotta be Bear--that's gotta be the best medicine for her, I'd think."

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear smiled happily at both Sara and Will.

"Thanks, you two.. you've given me a lot to think about."

[Sara Stanton]

She returns the smile. "You're welcome. I just hope I didn't sound too dejecting with my theory."

[Will Stanton]

"Nah. You're the brains, you can't be too dejecting."
