Will smiled. "Well, I got up from that one fairly quickly. Didn't really feel it 'till I got home.

I'd just feel more comfortable if you were getting hurt 50 feet away rather than 50 miles..."

Will paused.

"Don't get hurt at all though, k?"

"Yeah... no... I'm not sure. I'm scared, but mostly about what you might think of me if I end up overdoing it on the mission tomorrow. I want to give my best, but I don't know if I should." Her eyes turn up to meet Will's. "I got this close to punching out that bitch from earlier too..."

Will sighed, pulled a nearby chair over, and sat down.

"First of all, you have to give your best. Not just for you or for me, but for all your teammates--they'll be counting on you. They can't have you second-guessing yourself; not in mid-mission. Don't worry about what I'll think of you, I..."

He sighed again.

"I'm afraid of what I'LL do. I'm not comfortable with...killing. I had a long talk this morning at church about it, and I still....I still can't get over it. I see some of us ready to go out there and just commit...mayhem, and I'm afraid. On the one hand, they've started this, they've brought it up to this level. They've killed, they've kidnapped, and they won't stop. They won't until they get every last one of us. You and me and all our friends. On the other, it's not "Thou Shalt Not Kill Except When Really, Really Provoked." I don't know what's right; I really don't.

I do know one thing. If I'm debating this tomorrow, I'm going to get myself hurt, or, worse, someone else. I can't let that happen. I'll take feeling bad the next day over not being able to feel bad. And I'll take feeling bad over killing someone who wants me dead over feeling bad for letting someone die who wanted to help me."

"I'm not worried about killing. No, that came out wrong... I mean, if they don't let up we have no choice. Taking a life to protect all the ones they would take otherwise is what I mean. I know that's not how all that works and that it won't help you, because you already know that, but that's how I see it."

"I won't let anyone down, I'll do what it takes. I'm just afraid of what that might be and if I can control it. It's not... the possibility of having to kill that's scaring me. If I wanted to I could bring down this building..." She looks around the room. "When I spread into walls I can feel the points where the pressure comes together, it wouldn't even be that straining, just relaxing the right parts. It'd be easy." Her hands find Will's and hold on to them.

"I know. They've attacked you in the most personal way possible, and you never did it. You've never knocked down a building or abused your powers. Never.

Yeah, you can knock down this building. You're easily ten times more powerful than me in most situations. And you know what? I've been in here," Will said, tapping the side of Sara's head, "and there's no one else in this room I'd rather trust with your powers. Not Captain 'I've trained with the Avengers' Flyboy," he said, nodding in the general direction of Ryan...'s exit, "not little miss I Love Everyone and Everything," nodding at Bear, "...and not me. You have self-control and willpower in spades, Sara Evans. You'll be able to do what you need to without going overboard. I trust you," he finishes, smiling.

"I'm not that powerful. It was just... a particularly nasty example." she replies silently, mostly to herself.

"And thank you Will. You have no idea how much that means to me." Holding his face she kisses him.
See? You've managed to hold back on your own before. Doing it for him will be nothing. You've felt how much he believes in you, you couldn't let him down even if you wanted to.

Will slowly returns the kiss before breaking away, and pulling Sara down so she's seated, as well, in the chair, on his lap.

"Don't sell yourself TOO short, there. I asked Marcus to keep an eye out on you for me, and he just laughed, 'cause he said you were MORE than capable of handling yourself. And he's right. Still, you've got friends looking out for you, if you need help. Even if I'm not there. And, I guess, in a way, I might be," he added, running his finger around the ruby.

She wraps her arms around Will and smiles. "And you'll always be with me, necklace or not, it'll just... make it more tangible."

"Excuse me Juma. I forgot to ask Will about someone. Sorry to rush off on you," Kelly reached into his pocket and pulled out some cash to pay for Juma's meal. "Take care buddy...and thank you for helping me with what we talked about." Kelly felt guilty but there was that man-girl he wanted to ask Will if he knew.

After tapping Juma's shoulder in thanks he left to Will and Sara, "Sorry about earlier and ditching you Will. I had to talk to Juma about something important." He turend to face Sara, "Oh forgive me! I was rude twice tonight." Kelly reached out for Sara's hand to kiss it lightly. <I call myself Kelly and you?"> Anyone could have understood what he was saying.

"Oh don't worry about i--" She gets thrown off by Kelly taking and kissing her hand, not quite sure how to react to that. "Oh, uhm... I'm Sara. Nice to meet you Kelly." She smiles softly, but her hand almost instinctively turns to stone as she notices Kelly's talons.

"No need to turn so cold Sara. I know how to use my hands," he winked at her. "Although I think you must be Will's girl. You two looked very freindly in the distance." Kelly smiled at Will to let him know he wasn't a threat.

"How are you feeling this night? Prepared for tomorrow?" His was truly curious about her mood but didn't like that he brought up tomorrow. His smile turned to a frown as he thought about Zach. Shaking his head he focused his eyes back on Sara.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean to... you know..." She makes an effort to turn her hand back to normal while Kelly is still holding it before pulling it back. "Yeah, I'm Will's girl." she smiles. "Which is why I'm not feeling too well about tomorrow... But being worried isn't doing anyone any good, right? So we try not to be right now, which is propably obvious due to the bad jokes." She smiles and kisses Will's cheek.

"I feel the same way. But Sara how do you not worry? I have someone in my mind that I can't stop worrying about. Maybe I should change subjects. I don't mean bring down the mood," he turned away and didn't focus on anything.

"I'm afraid they aren't on the same team. I asked Juma over there," he turned and pointed to Juma possibly smacking someone on accident with his wings. He aplogized to the fellow student and turned back to Sara, "I hate to admit that I don't think mine could take care of himself verus this threat."

"I'm sure they will I just can't help myself. I hate that part inside me that says he can't do it when the other part says trust in him and his abilities," Kelly wasn't trying to avoid Zach's name he just had a lot on his mind.

"Aren't we talking about me? We can change subjects though. This is my least favorite one," he missed what exactly Sara had meant and gave her a confused look.

Kelly wasn't offended by Sara and his smile returned as he though about Zach. "I guess he is my boyfriend...I never really thought of it like that before. I've never had one before," he admitted. "This time it just feels different. I'm sure you and Will feel that way too."
