Xub 1 - Sept 25 - Late Evening

[Niles Radcliff]

“Yeah, it can be pretty useful. Kind of feel underpowered compared to some people around here though.”

[Veronica Freud]

"We're all different, and we're all the best at doing something special." Veronica smiled. "Not everyone has to shoot lightning outta their ears. Some things are handy for more practical reasons and can be used to do a lot more things."

[Niles Radcliff]

“I know, Its just that when I first got here I thought it would be a good idea to join the X-Teams. Now with the vampires running around I'm wondering if I got in over my head.”

[Veronica Freud]

"Well, like I said about classes, if you decide somethin' ain't right for you you can change yer mind. I'm not takin' an X-team minor, I just put myself down for their reserves. Not everyone's cut out for punchin' people in the head, nothin' wrong with that."

[Niles Radcliff]

"I guess that is something for me to be thinking about. By the way, what is your power?"

[Veronica Freud]

"Ah, now that's somethin' a bit harder to demonstrate." She finished off her drink, letting out a contented sigh. "I think it'd be more impressive if you found out by surprise.

"Thanks for your help Niles, you were great company." Veronica smiled, standing up from her seat. She left a couple of quid from her change on the table, unintentionally giving Niles long enough to determine that her shorts were indeed pretty tight.

“Veronica, I should be the one thanking you. You saved me from a boring night drinking alone.”

Niles got up from the table. And dug a few coins from his pocket an placed them on the table. If she was looking at the table at the time she would see the key disappear, but she might have missed it.

“Well, see you later, we need do this again sometime.”

[Veronica Freud]

"Aww, that's sweet. Thank you! You were some great company too!" Veronica walked toward the exit with Niles, though she was fairly certain they'd part before she got back to Proudstar Hall. "We totally should. It's nice to make new friends."

[Niles Radcliff]

“Yes, it is.” Niles continues walking out of the bar and into the general area of the Xub.

Niles glances at Veronica “Xub 1 again, sometime after this vampire stuff is over?”

[Veronica Freud]

"Sure" Veronica beamed. "I usually come here after I'm done studyin' just to wind down. It's a lot quieter and more easy goin' than the other pubs."

[Niles Radcliff]

“That's why I like One, the others are a bit too noisy for my taste.” Niles smiled.

[Veronica Freud]

"Yeah, totally. You can actually talk to people without havin' to yell, and just relax."

[Niles Radcliff]

“With me its more that too much noise gives me a headache.”

Having reached the exit Niles chooses a door and goes through it. If Veronica isn't already going through one of the other doors he will hold his door open for her.
