September 6 - Who's up at 3am? (reasonably open)

"Oh, I have no idea. I don't like to judge everyone else who says they have someone else in their head, either. With me... no, because I doesn't really have the same taste in partners on both side of my head, so the part that isn't into it just kind of fucks off into the back of my head to work on something else."

[Anika Sloan]

Anika didn't pretend to understand it, so she just left it be. "Well, sorry for jumping the gun on the whole 'I think she's summoning demons' thing. Gotta admit it's kinda screwy to come across."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Well yeah. That's why I do it out of the way when any sane person would be sleeping," she pointed out.

[Anika Sloan]

"Please, sanity is boring." She went to reach for her pack of cigarettes and realized that they had all been incinerated. "Bloody hells."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria reached into her own pocket, pulling out the silver cigarette holder and popping it open, holding it out for her to take one of the self-rolled smokes. "Light me up, too, it feels like my lighter's frozen solid right now."

[Anika Sloan]

Anika grabs one of the cigarettes graciously, then holds a finger over Victoria's first, lighting it. "Thanks. You roll these yourself, I see. So much cheaper that way."

[Victoria Valentine]

"We'll say that I'm a bit of a smoke snob and leave it at that," Victoria said, taking a hit and then letting out another hard shiver. "God, feels like that bitch froze me from the inside..."

[Anika Sloan]

"Nothing wrong with that." She takes a long drag, letting the smoke blow to the air. "Hell, no wonder you like these better." Anika says, looking at the cigarette and grinning. "Yeah, she seemed...interesting. Also had a nice way of making things feel alright. Stopped me from driving a blade through her stomach, I suppose."

"She was just the other side of fey... Darker side of morally indifferent. Bitch that I've been putting off confronting."

[Anika Sloan]

"I'd offer to help, but considering how easy it was for her to make me give two shits less about the situation, I'd think it'd be best if I just offered moral support." She says with a chuckle.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Oh, that went like it should," Victoria asked. "Just took a little longer to reassert and overpower her. None of them really ever figure out how hard it is to out-will someone with two minds until they're trying it out. Kind of dumb of them, really."

[Anika Sloan]

"Hey, always nice to have a challenge." She says, taking a drag off of the cigarette.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Eh. Overrated, I'm finding," Victoria answered. "So what's making you be all crazy and making with the 'not sleeping' thing?"

[Anika Sloan]

She gives a shrug. "Sometimes I can't sleep. When it gets to that point, I find it's useless to lay in bed and it's just best to get up and move around. Besides, I gotta keep in shape." Anika says, motioning to herself with a smirk. "Would hate to lose this."

[Victoria Valentine]

"That... really would be a shame," Victoria admitted, giving Anika a once over.

[Anika Sloan]

"Right? Besides, nice cold night is perfect for a jog. Gets the air going." She nods.

[Victoria Valentine]

"So is this where I say that I can make it easier to sleep?" Victoria asked, stretching out on the ground.

[Anika Sloan]

"It's one of the many things that could be said, yeah. Or something else about 'warming you up', but I suppose that's where I come in, hm?"

[Victoria Valentine]

"It is sort of your fault that I'm this cold," Victoria pointed out.

[Anika Sloan]

"How terrible of me. Cruel, even. But hey, you said it was only 'sort' of my fault. So...technically I don't take the full blame."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Playing coy when you're naked doesn't work too well."

[Anika Sloan]

"Mm, technically I could blame the naked part on you. After all, you were the one that hit first. Well, the other you. But still. I wouldn't have to go and get all hot and bothered unless you made me." She says with a smirk.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Like I have to 'make' you do that," Victoria said with a smirk.

[Anika Sloan]

"Point to you." She said with a wink. "I have got to get some fire-proof clothing, in all seriousness. Been putting it off because I just don't give a shit and I don't particularly snap all too often." Anika coughs. That was probably a lie. "Already lost two pair of my leathers since arriving here. What a pain in the ass."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Just stop wearing so much, then," Victoria said, nodding seriously.

[Anika Sloan]

"Problem with that is the whole distraction thing. Wouldn't want to be too much of one. Besides, it's fun to leave a bit of imagination. Sadly, it seems that's no longer possible with you." She says, looking at her lack of clothing. "How depressing."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Are we going to keep bantering, or are we at some point are we moving toward someone's bed? Because I could do without the 3am chill."

[Anika Sloan]

"I thought you were into the cold, what with the whole ice and the like. But...I suppose it -is- probably about that time to get more comfortable. Your place or mine?" She takes a drag from the cigarette again, looking Victoria over.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Do you have roommates? Because I don't have roommates," Victoria asked, stretching out and pushing herself up.

[Anika Sloan]

"I have no idea if I have a roommate or not. I assume I do, I mean whoever she is, she keeps things damn neat. She'll probably hate me when I actually hang around there. But yeah, let's do your place in case she's actually there."
