Lighthouse Assault, Go!

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid slips inside, leaving the door ajar for Haley. She starts to look about for where the blue team is keeping their flags. If none are evident at the top, she'll descend into the rooms below.

[Graham Jaeger]

Graham slumped to the stairs, unconscious but breathing.

[Jennifer Newgate]

"It's just a game, Maya." Jennifer sends to her, still playing Kara's captive because, well, she probably couldn't get away anyway.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley stuck close to Brigid--she didn't want to risk being far away ruining her telepathic "cloak"

[Brigid Plunder]

Locating the flags, Brigid shoves them hastily towards Haley.

"You can probably get these down quicker than I can," she whispers.

[Haley Crusek]

"Okay," she whispered back. "Do you want to cause a scene or something, distract them while I run?

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa was still looking over the railing and seemed to be more intent on searching for an attack coming from outside.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Good thinking. I'll get Theresa on me, you make for our base." she nods to Haley.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley nodded and moved slowly away before dropping the mental cloak off of Brigid and leaving it only on herself. And then she ran for the way they came in, feeling fairly certain she had the stamina to jump the railing and slow her fall to a survivable speed.

[Nash Riley]

Nash who was stationed halfway up the stairs rushed down at the yelling. He got there in time to see Graham collapse and went over to check on him, ignoring the beeping coming from his wrist computer.

[Brigid Plunder]

After Haley is clear, Brigid knocks on the window behind Theresa, grinning madly.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa turned around and sighed, "Do I want to know how you got all the way up here? I assume that means you've got our flags too."

[Brigid Plunder]

"One way to find out!"

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa sighed, "I wish we were on the ground." She ducked around the door to give chase.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well I'll race you there!" Brigid says with a grin, rushing down the stairs.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Damn it, Brigid. Do you know how much power I went through earlier?" She said, chasing the obviously faster girl.

[Brigid Plunder]

"We'll get something to eat after!"

[Theresa McMasters]

"No, I'm going to bed after," she hovered a little off the ground, managing to make up some of the distance by flying.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Fiiiiiiine," she says, skidding to a stop when she sees everyone at the bottom of the stairs.

"...well crap, that's not going to work out."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Someone capture her while I go check the flag room," Theresa said, heading back upstairs.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"I have her." Vivienne called and threw the basketball sized ball of water at Brigid and followed after her as she got closer the water geyser that was blocking the door began to move farther in towards the stairs to meet Vivienne.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Yeah, you got me," the now-soaking Brigid says, still grinning.

Not the best poker face, perhaps.

[Theresa McMasters]

There was a significant amount of colorful language that erupted from the flag room.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"I do. Dal hi. Hold her." As she spoke the water in Brigid's clothing began to pull towards the coming gyser, its' spray adding and binding tighter.

[Haley Crusek]

Meanwhile, Haley was sprinting across the grounds, still trying to keep herself hidden--though her head was throbbing, and the effectiveness was probably greatly reduced.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Fair and square. She doesn't seem too happy about it though."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Then your colors." Vivienne held out her hand for Brigid's bandanna.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid unties her bandana and presses it in Viv's palm.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

Vivienne bows and the water removes itself completely from the other girl, leaving her dry. "Now, pardon me. I shall see if I can yet retrieve our standard from your ally." She moved past Brigid and ran down the stairs and out the door quickly kneeling and placing her hand on the water logged earth attempting to feel for Haley in the waters.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley had a bit of a head start, so she'd put some distance between the lighthouse and Herself by the time Vivienne was looking. In the immediate surroundings of the tower there was no sign of her. If Vivienne or anyone else looked though, it would seem that Haley sort of just appeared about a football field's distance away. She was sprinting.

[Graham Jaeger]

Nash who was stationed halfway up the stairs rushed down at the yelling. He got there in time to see Graham collapse and went over to check on him, ignoring the beeping coming from his wrist computer.

Graham's pulse is perfectly healthy. He's just unconscious.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Not going to let Haley beat me," Theresa said from the top of the lighthouse. She dived off the railing, letting the wind catch her and propel her after the fleeing Tiny Texan. "Vivienne! After her!"

[Haley Crusek]

Haley heard and felt the wind shifting and knew she was definitely being pursued. Though her lungs were burning and her legs were beginning to feel like lead weights she sped up, running as fast as she possibly could.

If I stay close to the ground...maybe I can fly...faster than I run...

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Aye!" she pulled the water from the entryway and the ground surrounding the lighthouse and rebuilt her gyser around her. Within second all was dry and the tower of water and Vivienne moved rapidly after Theresa and Haley.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa folded her arms in, letting her momentum build. She closed the gap on Haley. A mini-twister formed off the Haley's left and disappeared again.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley's speed began to falter ever so lightly as the wall of water rushed her and the tornado appeared in the corner of her eye. She let out a roar and leaped into the air, pushing off like a long jumper and relying heavily on her TK to boost the jump.

She might not be able to really fly, so to speak, but it was a damn impressive jump, carrying her nearly 100 yards in a high arc. She landed with a shield underneath of her, and created an enormous, nearly waist-deep crater that the grounds crew was bound to love. She wobbily pulled herself out of the crater and staggered forward trying to break into a run again, but clearly having difficulty.

The gym was so close, but so far...

Seeing a girl leap the length of a football field is not an everyday occurrence, not even at Xavier's. That slowed Theresa a bit just to gawk. "Way to stick the landing," she yelled at Haley as she picked up the chase again.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

Vivienne moved forward and paused at the Haley dent and smiled, she moved on filling the hole with water as she left, a fitting memorial to the small girl's achievement, Haleys' duck pond.

[Nash Riley]

Nash got up "He seems okay, his breathing and pulse are fine, seems just to be knocked out. We should probably get him to the med center anyway."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley was running as fast as she could be she was clearly winded, and almost a bit delirious with exhaustion and nervous energy.
