"I am sorry for my actions and I withdraw. " She picked up her book and turned to leave.

"I'm half tempted to side with her on this, Sackville. Is there anything you've actually earned or did you have to take all your accomplishments when no one was looking?"

"And you earned your gift of foresight how?

Believe me, Sphinx, I'm only here today due to my accomplishments."

"That I don't doubt." she says and shakes her head as she turns to leave herself.

"Not at all. But if you liken yourself to Prometheus then I wonder just how those accomplishments were achieved."

"You're surely not saying Prometheus was no hero."

"I'm saying maybe the Gods had their reason to deny fire to Man at the time."

"Yes. The Gods are selfish."

"So I'm a bit confused now, Good Sir Bedivere... If Arthur bequeathed the sword to you, then why do all of the legends say that it was returned to the Lady of the Lake?" Victoria mused, her eyes on Vivienne.

"Because it would not have been good for people to know Excalibur was still around."

"A fair point. But that's a rather... specific means of it disappearing. And rather odd that it matches up with what she says should have happened."

"I don't see what's so odd about that. Much about Arthur has been known and passed down through legend."

"She's not exactly current on our literature," Victoria pointed out.

"Nor were most of the people who have known about Excalibur. Most of them couldn't even read, and yet they knew what was to be done with it."
