Crazy Cheap Knock-offs

The site of the recently restored Braddock Lighthouse. Aircraft hangars and other X-Men facilities, including a Cerebra unit and the Danger Room have been constructed around the foundations of the lighthouse.

Vivienne was actually crying and as Nailah landed the wall, Vivienne's armor and water from Roland's shirt fell back into the earth. "It is...not...his..." She sobbed still on her knees.

"I disagree, Roland." she says, glancing at Vivienne. "One would think you would have learned more manners over three thousand years."

Victoria, rather happy to be ignored, finished marking out her circle, imbuing it with a thrum of power as the spell went through her mind to block out unearthly magics. For a short while, at least. "My my... legalities are complicated when you involve the fey, aren't they."

"Just like uncle Gopper and officer Fierro back on the commune."

Bear chuckled, standing off to the side of Roland.

"Well Old timer, you were a little disappointing, if I'm honest."

"That would be Vivienne, daughter of the Lady of the Lake." she says, looking to Vivienne again and hoping someone who's a bit better at compassion than her would console the crying girl.

Roland shot Bear a withering glare.

"If she IS the daughter of the Lady, then perhaps one of you can explain to her why she is mistaken. This can not be Excalibur, as I have the privilege of the sword myself."

Bear ignored the 3000 year-old stinkface, and moved to give Vivienne a warm, comforting hug.

"It was not stolen. It was given to me by Arthur himself, as he lay dying at Camlann. I have since honored the sword, and gone on to do many great deeds with it."

"Yes, it is. How is it, that for someone so long in the possession of a Fey blade knows nothing of the magic that forged it? It is you who does not know what you have done all this time by laying claim to something that was never meant to remain so long on this side."

"My mother has not." She said to Roland.

To Nailah, "My mother did not...willingly."

Then to Victoria. "The magic of my mother's blades is like...a hunting dog. It will obey the correct commands and the "right" type of master, but starve it long enough it will heel to anyone for a meal."

"My mother is a creature of magic, the blades were not made in a forge. They were made from HER. She...lent the power to the boy king. She weakened herself for him. When the barrier was raised, she could not defy the Elders, she had nothing to offer in bargain to persuade them to let her become mortal, because the blade Excalibur was never returned to her."

"The magic would find a way, but I gave my word to you I would be better. I will allow Excalibur to remain within his possession until I return home. At that time I will be taking it and Caledfwlch back with me." She stated flatly.
