Movie night!

The Estate's meticulously kept gardens, including a hedgemaze that students have occasionally described as "sadistic" and a sizeable rose garden. Benches in shaded spots are plentiful, and the gardens are popular to study in on pleasant days.

Movie night!

Roland had, somehow, actually tracked down a blu-ray player and had almost figured out how to hook it up, while waiting for his date modern pop culture teacher.

Haley crept next to Roland as he was engrossed in fiddling with the blu-ray player.

"I'm impressed you managed to hook this up at all," she smirked.

"Want me to take a look, or do you think you have it?"

Haley pulled off her light sweatshirt which she wore to ward off the cool night air on the trip to the secret lair and tossed it over a chair.

"Yeah, you speak 21st century," Roland said, taking a sidewards glance at Haley as he straightened up and let her in.

"So, what is this. I gather it's some kind of religious film?"

Haley quirked her eyebrow at him before she busied herself unplugging most everything, starting over, and having it set up quite quickly.

"I....wouldn't call it that, no...why?"

"So....do you have food and drinks or should I go raid the cafeteria quick?"

"Look at you," she teased, still impressed nonetheless. "Both sound awesome."

She plopped down on the closest, most comfortable-looking seat and pulled out her phone, silencing it.

The most comfortable looking seat was an old, leather, overstuffed couch, and Roland joined her there.

"Turning off the phone? I'm touched," he teased.

Haley smirked. "Don't be silly. I'm just turning off the ringer."

"So what kind of wine is it this time? And does it pair well with popcorn?" she giggled.

"It's a Chardonnay. A nice light white wine, with a bit of a buttery tone to it, should go well with the fact-butter-goo they put on the popcorn."

"M'Lady, some wine to go with your goo," Roland teased, topping her off. "Alright, you might need to explain this movie to me, then, becuase I thought it was something else entirely," he said, as it started.

He didn't, which became apparent as the movie continued.
