X-Men Assemble!

[ASHLIE]

After her partial analysis of the mysterious radio signal Ashlie raises a general alarm for all available X-Men. The screens in the briefing room are currently displaying a satellite view of a patch of ocean that slowly pans, a small group of security camera footage from around the school along with a running tally of people she has identified as still being on campus and, finally, a picture of Will with the words "Possibly Rogue" emblazoned on it.

Bear arrived, uniformed up and satchel of tricks at the ready.

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan lucked out and caught the alert as he came back onto campus. So by the time he got into the briefing room, he looked like he'd raced across campus, thrown his uniform on, and then booked it all the way there in five minutes. Since, well, he had.

[John Hino]

John arrived with Bear, his magic tetsubo in a harness across his back for easy access. He frowned worriedly at the screens.

"It's Black Air again, isn't it?"

[ASHLIE]

"The probabilities for that are very high." Ashlie nods at John.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Steph stood along the side of the room, her arms crossed over her chest, frowning as she watched the monitors.

[Samantha McManus]

The Headmistress walks in, a stern look on her face. Oddly, she's dressed in one of the mission jumpsuits.

[John Hino]

John did a mild double-take at McManus coming in dressed for battle. He had a very bad feeling about why she would be joining them.

[ASHLIE]

"Thank you for coming so fast. This evening I recorded an unusual radio transmission. They were a set of instructions to Mister Stanton, some of which involved chloroform. The transmission has ceased and Mister Stanton is nowhere to be found. I have a running tally of who I could confirm as still being at the school at present and, considering the circumstantial evidence suggests this was an attack perpetrated by Black Air that only leaves one logical conclusion."

The monitor showing the feed of her searching through security camera footage is replaced by a picture of Miranda.

"I have traced the radio transmissions to a location in the North Sea though I have been unable to obtain visual confirmation of the target via satellite. You will have to take the jet to the coordinates I was able to obtain and perform a manual search."

[Samantha McManus]

"They have to know we've triangulated it. Black Air is notorious for destroying sites that have been compromised."

"We need to get there fast. What's the ETA by jet?"

[Aria Nyx]

"Too damn long." Aria's voice comes from the door. "I can get you there faster."

[Samantha McManus]

"...I suppose you would have a vested interest in getting her back," the headmistress says, narrowing her eyes at Aria's entrance.

[Aria Nyx]

"Oh sure, squint at me for trying to help." she says, walking into the middle of the room. "Take the jet and waste time flying around if you want, I'll be taking the direct route. Who's with me?" she asks and holds out her arm, waiting for people to put their hand on hers.

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear crossed her arms, wrinkling her nose at the extended hand before relenting, and touching both Aria and John.

"Not a mistake, not a mistake.."

[John Hino]

John followed his girlfriend's lead and added his hand.

"This won't just, like, drop us in the ocean will it?"

[Aria Nyx]

"If they're anywhere close to where the tincan thinks they are I can get us there, okay? Just trust me on this."

[Samantha McManus]

"One, don't call her that. Two, we're going to talk when this is over."

The headmistress puts her hand in.

[Aria Nyx]

"Oh come on, it's a term of endearment! Everyone's having such thin skin." she rolls her eyes but then looks over to Ashlie. "I'm sorry I called you tincan."

[ASHLIE]

"My plating is not made from tin and thus quite thick, actually."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I get a little busy, and suddenly there's in-fighting everywhere. I must miss all the fun," Ryan mused as he put his hand in as well.

[Aria Nyx]

"I wish! This is apparently a strict No Fun Zone." she says and after waiting for Steph to join in as well, closes her eyes. Assuming Sam is keeping a close eye on her she'd notice Aria's mind spreading out, almost unfocused, her thoughts circling around Miranda until a location begins to take shape in front of her mind's eye. Darkness, steel, a sense of claustrophobia.

And then, noticeable by everyone, a purple flash of light washes over the group from Aria's bracer and the world collapses into an almost infinitely small point for a split second before expanding outward again and they find themselves somewhere else...
