"It's one thing to be respectful of other religions or follow yule-time traditions that have long since been adopted into Christianity but another to pledge yourself to the Morrigan when your religion clearly states though shalt not have any gods beside me. Either you're breaking with your own beliefs, which I doubt, or you're dismissing a ritual as a silly tradition that's bereft of all meaning. Who of the people burning a yule-log even know about early Anglo-Saxon paganism?"

[Will Stanton]

"Fair enough," Will sighed. "I haven't pledged myself to anyone or anything, and I'll refrain from stepping into your boundaries in the future, Professor."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Will, I don't want to keep you out of anything. But how would you feel if someone wanted to be baptized without knowing anything about the Bible?"

[Will Stanton]

"I'd look at it as an opportunity to introduce them to the faith," Will pointed out.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Maybe that's my ignorance showing, but I always thought that meant more to an adult than just an introduction." she says, looking thoughtful.

"How about I bless this figure for you and you can be right there to watch the ritual without having to sneak in?"

[Will Stanton]

"Well, since I don't know much about it, why don't you tell me a little more before I jump into something I'm not prepared for," Will said, only a bit pointedly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not too long ago you didn't want anything to do with this, so I apologize if I haven't been taking your interest in this entirely seriously. There's not an awful lot to tell you because Sam and me are still figuring this out as we go along too. Usually the deity involved has a bit of a clearer idea as to what kind of things they deem important. For Sekhmet I usually get fresh cow's blood from the butcher in Maldon as an offering to sate her before prayer. So far the Morrigan seemed to enjoy having a hunt in the Danger Room dedicated to her name as well as a libation of scotch. It also depends on what you wish to ask for in any particular ritual."

[Will Stanton]

"When you say dedicated to her name..." Will said, scratching his chin.

[Nailah Weaver]

"I drew a triskelion in the sand around a crocodile I'd killed and proclaimed 'I dedicate this kill to the Morrigan'. The fact that I was fighting somebody for her favor at the same time may or may not have contributed."

[Will Stanton]

"And that was pleasing to Her, was it?" Will said, musing.

[Nailah Weaver]

"It certainly was."

[Will Stanton]

"So, this ritual to bless the action figure...would I need to bring anything? Wear specific clothing? Carry a 'sorry God, but could you turn your back for five-minutes' t-shirt?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Try something green. Feathers are optional but appreciated. But no, you don't have to bring anything since I'd be the one performing the ritual."

[Will Stanton]

"Green feathers. I can do that," Will mused. "Would you like to try it tonight?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"If you want to, yes. I still have everything prepared."

[Will Stanton]

"Alright, I'll be there.

Oh, and Professor Weaver? My soul, and my relationship with my God is my own business. What and how I chose to explore other things is also my own business. Alright?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I didn't mean to imply it isn't. I apologize."

[Will Stanton]

"It's OK.

Green feathers, was it?" Will mused.

"Oh, and leave lil' Sam."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Fine." she says with exaggerated disappointment and chuckles as she hands the figure back to Will.

[Will Stanton]

"Sorry, but you snooze, you lose," Will smiled. "See you tonight."

"See you then." she says as she turns to leave.
