I13DT - You can take the girl out of the jungle...

[Narrator]

While the students may be fairly used to aircraft taking off or landing at the hangar, the plane descending still counts as a bit of an unusual sight.

For one, it appears to be a Quinjet, extending its landing gear before touching down.

[Allison Rogers]

Allison was waiting in the wings, just in case there was some sort of legal snafu with this. She was actually dressed semi-professionally for a change.

[Will Stanton]

Will was there too, arms crossed, in full X-Team regalia.

[Brigid Plunder]

As the boarding ramp hisses open in the rear, Brigid stands at the top, mostly staring at her feet.

[Kay Haddock]

And trying hard to disappear behind Brigid Kay is fidgeting and staring at her hands very intently.

[Narrator]

Behind them both stands a rather displeased looking man, also dressed surprisingly formally, or at least as much as he usually is. His blonde, bearded face presides over a buttoned shirt with the first few undone, as well as a sport coat and slacks.

[Allison Rogers]

Allison hung back since this was Will's deal, but she raised an eyebrow when she saw the man at the top of the ramp.

[Will Stanton]

"So sorry to make you come all this way, sir."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie was in her uniform as well, standing near Will. Her expression was hard to read. There was a brief moment where she looked genuinely relieved that the girls were safe, but they likely barely noticed it. She mostly had an excellent "we're going to talk later" look on her face.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid takes a deep breath, and starts down the boarding ramp.

[Kay Haddock]

Kay looks like she absolutely doesn't want to follow her, but the prospect of standing on top of the ramp with Brigid's dad is somehow even scarier, so she quickly follows Brigid.

[Will Stanton]

"Well, then. We're waiting."

[Brigid Plunder]

"We... talked about it on the way over," Brigid says, still crestfallen.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Steph crossed her arms and quirked her eyebrow at the girls.

[Narrator]

The bearded man descends shortly thereafter, his strides sure, purposeful.

"I've made it clear to her that this is not to happen again. I hope that's clear to the rest of you as well."

[Will Stanton]

"Our deepest, deepest apologies, sir. This is not how we operate."

[Kay Haddock]

"I just wanted to see the jungle and the dinosaurs..."

[Narrator]

"It's not what I expected out of my daughter either, but I suppose she takes after her mother."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie heard that and shot Kay a withering "not now" gaze before turning back and addressing the towering man. "We'll be conducting a thorough re-evaluation of some of our away mission procedures to make sure nothing like this ever happens again, sir." she added respectfully.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid meanwhile looks to be doing her best to try to melt into a crack in the floor.

Sadly, she is not Will.

[Allison Rogers]

"We're happy to offer you accommodations, should you wish to remain here before making the trip back," Allison said to the man. "I understand it is quite the trip."

[Narrator]

"I may take you up on your offer," he says. "I could use a meal, at the least."

[Will Stanton]

"We'll make sure your comfortable, bring out the VIP room and everything."

[Narrator]

"As for these two, do what you will. I've already talked to my daughter."

[Allison Rogers]

"If you'll follow me, we'll see to that meal you requested."
