Allison was passing the time by taking a crash course in how the Danger Room operated. She was dressed in a spare shapeshifter uniform that she'd managed to find. She was just about finished with the tutorial.

When Nailah arrives she glances at the light indicating the Danger Room is in use. She steps inside with her eyebrow already quirked.

About that time, Allison finishes up the tutorial and turns when she hears the door open. "Hey there," she says, instinctively (and subconsciously) sizing Nailah up.

Her finger hovers over the entry for 'Crossroads' briefly but then decides against it. Instead she picks a different one. The room shimmers and turns into the rolling plains of the African Savannah.

"Well, let me slip into something more appropriate then," she said, stretching. Bones popped and rearranged as she shifted into her half form, gaining about 18 inches and another 150 lbs. in the process. She licked her fangs and sniffed the air, "That's better." Her hair still trailed off her head, but the blonde was now in the majority.

With some conscious effort Nailah manages to keep her tail from fluffing up immediately as she watches Allison shift.

"Well, good luck with your nose." she smirks and takes a running leap and let's her wings take her up into the air.

Though trees were sparse in the simulation, there were a few, mostly near water sources.

It was likely that the ravens perching in them were not native to Africa.

Allison was actually doing a fairly decent job of keeping up with Nailah even though she was having to dodge through occasional vegetation.

Eventually, Nailah is able to spot a small herd of rhinos, drinking on the far side of one of the watering holes. After following for a bit, the same starts to come into view for Allison.

Circling around the herd she swoops down on them from behind, aiming at the back of one of the animals at the fringe of the herd, aiming to scare up the herd and drive them towards Allison.

As soon as she'd seen the rhinos, Allison had slowed down, slinking into the grass to stalk the creatures. She was preparing to pounce when Nailah swooped down on them and changed her plan, aiming to take down something towards the back of the group as it passed her.

A cry of alarm comes up from the herd, and soon their agitation sets them into movement, thundering in the direction Allison is following from.

The stampede shakes the nearby tree, disturbing the ravens perching in it. Oddly, one or two of them seem to freeze in mid-air when disturbed, just before distorting into a mass of polygons and fading away.

Allison glances up at Nailah and then lets out a thundering roar, stepping out into plain view. A fist comes up, ready to lay out the first rhino to get close.

With another predator revealed, the herd is in chaos, jumbled and scattering in multiple directions. The one that Allison punches stumbles, rearing and bringing its front legs back down hard.

Rather than leap back, Allison pushes forward, shoving her shoulder into the rhino's chest, trying to unbalance the creature with her own strength.

The rhino wavers and then tips, its massive bulk shaking the ground as it falls. Its legs pump and flail as it tries to right itself.

Nailah swoops down and lands in a slide on all fours with her wings spread wide to scare the rest of the herd off to the side.

"Remind me to never piss you off."

"Running a herd of rhinos straight at me is not a good way to avoid pissing me off," Allison snarled and grabbed the rhino's horn, dropping a hammer fist to the side of the creature's head, hoping to render it unconscious.

Allison's blow did indeed render the creature into a dazed stupor.

The rest of the herd regrouped a few dozen yards away, watching them warily.

Something was stirring in the herd. One among them seemed particularly agitated, and it was starting to rub off on the others.
