"That's just turning it into a popularity contest." she chuckles.

"OK, OK, if you want a clear answer, if she asks you to do it again at some point."

"Oh come on, how am I supposed to win that one? I can't prove a negative."

"Well, you could ASK her if she wanted to do it again, and if she said YES, then I win.

Honestly, Nailah, you're so linear."

"We'll ask her at the end of the week. She says yes, you win, she says no, I win. No 'at some point'."

"Fine.

As for the wager...if I win, you have to do a class in full devotional gear. Robe, furs, feathers. The works."

"I come with feathers and fur by default. What if I win?"

"You're really bad at this whole thing. If I win you light an eternal flame in Sekhmet's shrine."

"Like, a symbolic eternal flame, or an actual eternal flame? Because that could be a hazard if you ever had to move."

"An actual one, in a brazier. I'll make sure it can be closed and transported safely."

"Done and done. I'll make sure to pick out something nice for you and your students."

"Don't get your hopes up too much just yet." she chuckles.

"I don't know. If I'm right, though, you're going to have a very interesting week," she grinned.

"Oh I'm sure it'll be interesting alright. I take it since Altamira the Telepath is going to be living in the dorms that you'll be attending class with the rest of your fellow students?"

"That seems a little pointless, doesn't it?"

"It's what mutants attending an university for mutants do. If you already want to give up..."

"Wait waitwaitwait. You just said no breaking reality. You said nothing about being 'normal'."

"Well, the reality is that while the school gladly provides mutants with a scholarship and room and board, we do expect them to show up for class." Nailah smirks. "If you'd rather go out and rent a room in Maldon somewhere..."

"I could ~teach~ those classes!" she protested.

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'm sure you'll manage for a week."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"I don't even have classes. I'll just have to, like, attend random ones. This is not going to go well," she fretted.

"I can draw you up a schedule if you'd like. I'll even try to avoid Roland's classes."

"I can handle myself for a week."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'm looking forward to that." Nailah grins.

"You WILL regret this."

"Quite possibly, yes. But that just means I have to make the most of it." she laughs.
