Stan's Lab - Analytics ((open))

[Sara Stanton]

Sara is sitting in the lab, staring at the live image on a screen of a microscope-camera aimed at the nanite sample. She doesn't look particularly happy.

[Narrator]

Neither did the nanite, but that might have just been Sara's imagination.

[Stan Bowen]

"Any thoughts? " Stan asked, hovering over her shoulder.

[Sara Stanton]

"Not really. They stopped replicating but they're still active."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan had a tense look.

"Well, it could be worse, I suppose."

He pulled up a second set of eyepieces, looking at the sample himself.

[Narrator]

The probes were still active--the readouts and charts read that. They were just...not doing anything. They weren't even really moving.

It was almost like a computer without an operating system. They were still on, booting up, just without specific software commands.
