Steve snorted a small laugh.

[Haley Crusek]

"Bitch," she grumbled under her breath.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Is it untrue?"

[Haley Crusek]

"I've only slept in class once, and that was because this shitty place gives me nightmares. And maybe I am on my phone a lot, but I can multitask, and I'm not an idiot," she glared at Steve.

[Steve Jones]

"I never said you were," he said apologetically.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Of course, multitasking," she smiled. "That definitely is a thing and not an excuse."

[Haley Crusek]

"Of course it's a thing. I can walk and chew bubblegum, text and listen..."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"But will any of it stick, hrm? You never know, you might miss out on something important."

[Haley Crusek]

"Might miss out on an important text too."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"From whom?"

[Haley Crusek]

"Friends. Boyfriend. Parents. Family. Almost anyone really."

"So, you get an important call from your boyfriend. Do you stay in class and continue to take notes?"

"Cal never calls, we just text."

"Oh, of course."

"That or I use my telepathy."

"Yes, because I've found telepathy lets me concentrate on what's going on outside the conversation."
