"Perhaps, but you know by now that I'm odd."

"Maybe not the affirmation I was hoping for but you're right." she chuckles.

[Samantha McManus]

"I don't feel quite qualified to comment on anyone else at the moment," she smirks faintly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Don't worry about it." she smiles.

[Samantha McManus]

Samantha withdrew her mind from the bloodstone, pulling back into the physical world.

"As lovely as all this is, I'm still glad it's not back where we live anymore."

Nailah takes a second longer until her eyes flutter open.

"Hmm? Oh... yes, I suppose it's a little obtrusive for the living room."

[Samantha McManus]

"That and there's always the palpable feeling of being in... someone's territory."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Suppose it's only natural."

[Samantha McManus]

"Still haven't gotten the impression that I've offended anyone, at least."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well you're one up on me then." she sighs. "But yes, I think it's just a bit of rivalry."

"Perhaps one day I'll just have a friendly chat with her in a hot tub."

"Are you still worried about Miss Thompson?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not so much her but her friends. I believe they accidentally burned down Cobweb while trying to find a way to punish me for desecrating their little circle. They have stumbled upon something."

"So you're worried it's something they can't control."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'm fairly certain they can't. Even getting them to talk is like pulling teeth. I tried apologizing but they're dead set on painting me as the bad guy who desecrated a place I was dragged to against my will and my patience with them was thin to begin with."

"I don't blame you. I just can't imagine what they could have found of consequence."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Something answered their calls. I felt it when I saw them slipping away from the fire at Cobweb."

[Samantha McManus]

"One more thing to deal with, aye?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"It's currently ranking somewhere below ancient Japanese Spirits and people attempting to wake an Old One, so..."

"Our lives were never going to be boring."

[Nailah Weaver]

"No, I suppose that's true. And it's worth it because I got to meet you." she smiles.

"There's no need to flatter me, love. You're the one who came through this time."

"I can do it without needing to though." she smirks slightly. "I'm just glad I could help."
