"We could always switch to Spandex."

[Brigid Plunder]

"You already vetoed the spandex."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah the training uniforms are bad enough."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I think the training uniforms are just intentionally bad."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Kinda like gym clothes, yeah?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah, except worse." she chuckles.

[Theresa McMasters]

"I doubt they'd approve modifications to the outfit."

[Brigid Plunder]

"So that's gotta wait until you get a real codename and everything."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Already have one. Mr. Gabriel just seems to be a stickler for uniforms."

[Kay Haddock]

"Well mine's a little different at least. Maybe if you tell him your power works better that way somehow?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"I don't think he'll buy 'my powers work better when I'm not in a unitard'."

[Brigid Plunder]

"I must've missed what you picked. I thought you were still deciding."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Well, I really haven't had a use for a codename, so there's been no real need to advertise it."

[Kay Haddock]

"So what is it?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Tempest. Kind of like 'Storm', I know, but I like it."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Better than I figured. I was expecting like... Thunder Valkyrie, or Negasonic Teenage Warhead."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Seriously?"

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid nodded, trying hard not to crack up.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa regarded her for a moment, then a tiny rain cloud appeared over Brigid's head, dumping a little bit of rain on her before it lost cohesion completely and broke up.

[Kay Haddock]

"All in favour of banning Brigid from giving people codenames?" Kay chuckles.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid just laughed, even while she got rained on.

[Theresa McMasters]

"I'm in favor of it. If I do use a codename, I want to be a superhero, not some third rate garage band."

[Brigid Plunder]

"But you still want a theme song."

[Kay Haddock]

"Sounded more like something out of an anime, but the motion carries!" she laughs. "You're free to name yourself if you really want to, though."

[Brigid Plunder]

"I'm still working in, like, baby steps."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Yeah, first things first," Theresa agreed.

[Kay Haddock]

"Hmm?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"We were, er... talking about things."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Brigid, you're hedging again," Theresa pointed out.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Okay, yeah."

"We were talking about how maybe I should be less uptight about... well, you know."

[Kay Haddock]

"Probably not the worst idea in the world..." she says carefully.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Look, we're not going to tell anybody that you haven't cleared us to tell. Go at your own pace. It's not like anyone expects you to burst out 'I'm a pretty jungle princess' in class tomorrow or anything."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Yeah, well... you guys are probably right. It's not much weirder than anything else here."

[Kay Haddock]

"And even if it was, who cares, right?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"More important things to stress about, yeah?"
