Steph tapped a few notes into her tablet, smiling slightly.

"This should be fun to watch. Bring back any memories while planning it, Mr. Gabriel?" she mused to her partner.

Brigid nodded, still feeling a bit awkward being in her training uniform around everyone, and looking it.

"I can definitely do that," she said, trying to focus more on the task at hand.

Wayne, who had been mostly silent, spoke up.

"We're not supposed to touch the guys, right? Nobody said anything about the ground AROUND the bastards?"

"I honestly can't say how they would take that, Wayne. It might still be considered offensive. Steve, you stick with me. I may need someone to shake me if I get lost." She looked at Wayne again, "How big an area can you affect? Could you keep a slick area behind us so they don't sneak up on us?"

The factory spread out inside the gate, taking up most of the area with it except for a couple alley-sized passages on either side. It was, literally, a large concrete box.

So far, without exploring, they could see that there were padlocked chains sealing the entrances, and no sign of movement just yet.

"Let's go through the building then," she said, raising a fog around them as best she could to keep forms somewhat indistinct while not completely obscuring their own ability to see. "Alex, can you deal with the lock?"

Alex walked up to the chains and grabbed them, expecting them to be easy.

And he quickly swore. "They're not steel. I think they're..." He looked them over, feeling the metal. "Titanium. Shit. I still can't do titanium."

Brigid would find that the padlock was... just an ordinary padlock. If it weren't made of titanium, it would seem like a standard, if a bit dated, padlock that could've been bought at a hardware store.

Steve would sense... SOMETHING. However he couldn't pinpoint things like the people's thoughts, their location, or an exact number, though it would feel like somewhere around eight of them. As this was probably his first brush with psi-shielding, this would probably be a confusing sensation for him.

He could also feel something different, something bigger and stranger, but farther ahead of them. Too far to really get a pinpoint on.

He frowned worriedly, "...something else..."

Brigid held the pin in one hand and the lock in the other and closed her eyes for a moment.

Then she went with a quick motion, setting the tumblers in the lock with the pin.

Brigid would find nothing complicated with this padlock. So long as she'd made progress in her practice, she should be able to pop it open as easily as disemboweling a velociraptor.

Inside the factory, the only lighting came from the emergency lights, making navigation hard. They entered into a cluster of offices, with the production floors ahead of them. Rows of machinery were still arranged on the floors, too outdated to be sold and too heavy to bother moving out.

Sounds echoed from the floors, very quiet footsteps combined with the quiet whirring of something mechanical.

As if in answer, a paintball smacked into the machine next to Regan's hand. Other shots began coming in from the rafters at the group... from the angle coming from somewhere up in the shadows in the corner to their right.

Lillian followed Aisha's example and made her way to the front of the group. She shifted into the domestic cat form she had become familiar with recently.

'Please don't step on me. Please don't step on me' She pleaded with her mind as she weaved between the others busy feet to catch up to Aisha.

Night vision was a strange thing.
