I12DT - Breakfast Freakout ((Open))

[Kay Haddock]

Kay is sitting at breakfast, eating a PBJ sandwich while browsing her laptop. When she sees dozens of new comments on her blog she's still cautiously optimistic.

A couple minutes later she's partially through watching the video several people linked her, mouth hanging open and looking like she's about to start hyperventilating.

[Molly Malcolm]

Molly sits down across from Kay.

"Good morning!" Molly says, "Are you alright? You look sort of anxious."

[Kay Haddock]

"There's like... a show... of us... at school and stuff..." she blabbers.

[Christine Bowen]

"Did you see it?!" Christie asked, "Its a nightmare! My dad is going to freaking murder me."

[Molly Malcolm]

"I'm sure that's...bad?" Molly says, looking confused.

She was trying.

[Christine Bowen]

"They took every fight and all the drama and edited it into this crap that makes Jersey Shore look sane." Christie said.

[Kay Haddock]

"There's, like, somebody filming us!" she bursts out, managing to turn her laptop around for Molly to see.

[Calvin Strong]

And that was when Cal, looking less tired than usual, came walking up to the usual tables with his breakfast tray.

[Molly Malcolm]

Molly watch, starting to look a bit concerned, "...Some of those shots are in the dorm rooms. Are there cameras in the dorms?"

Molly did not look happy about this.

[Calvin Strong]

"This a bad time to say 'told you so'?" Cal mused as he unloaded his tray a bit onto the table.

[Kay Haddock]

"No! Maybe! Wait!"

"You!" she jumps up. "You must have done this! With your camera-eye-things!"

[Christine Bowen]

"It couldn't have been him." Christine said "Some of this was shot in the girl's locker room."

[Calvin Strong]

Cal just looked at her for a minute. "That desperate for someone to blame, are you?" he asked, unimpressed.

[Molly Malcolm]

"Oh, my god," Molly says, "That's, like, so gross."

Molly glances around suspiciously.

[Kay Haddock]

Kay just stares daggers at Cal, desperately trying not to burst into spikes to the point that she's shaking.

[Calvin Strong]

"Hey, everyone said I was nuts when I said that shit like this was happening," Cal said. "Don't go acting all done wrong just because you wouldn't listen to me."

[Molly Malcolm]

"If you knew what was happening, why didn't you do anything about it?" Molly asks.

[Calvin Strong]

"Hey, I tried, everyone jumped on me. Besides, you want a culprit? Let's remember that this isn't the first time we've been put up on the internet all edited to hell."

[Kay Haddock]

"That was out in the park! Just shut up with your dumbass conspiracies, this is serious!"

[Molly Malcolm]

"Kay, you should calm down," Molly says, "Take a deep breath. Find your center."

Stupid crisis center classes.

[Kay Haddock]

"OhmygodshutupIdon'tneedtofindmycenteroranythingI'mperfectlycalm!" she goes on, getting increasingly high-pitched until she's barely audible until she finally runs out of breath and falls back into her chair.



Then she bursts into spikes.

[Molly Malcolm]

Molly lets out a yelp in surprise and just straight up in the air, coming to a stop somewhere near the ceiling.

"Don't do that!" Molly says, breathing heavily and starting to blush.

[Christine Bowen]

"Yeah, but you said the faculty was doing it, which is dumb." Christie said "No way would they want to make us look bad. This has to be someone else, but who?"

[Calvin Strong]

Cal just shrugged in that 'you want to yell at me, you can figure it out' manner.

[Molly Malcolm]

"Maybe there's a security system a hacker got control of," Molly says, drifting back down into her seat, "Like, cameras that aren't normally on, but someone turned them on?"

[Christine Bowen]

"Plenty of techopaths." Christie said "You, Ashilie, that weird new girl."

[Calvin Strong]

"The weird new girl, AKA the girl who's already put videos up on the internet to make us look stupid..." Cal pointed out, like he were trying to walk a first grader through a math problem.

[Steve Jones]

"God... you guy saw it too didn't you?" Steve asked as he too took a seat.

[Molly Malcolm]

"I think it could be cool to be on TV," Molly says, "I mean, if they limited it to, like, the classes or public areas."

"Would probably make mutants look a lot better if people saw them acting no-," Molly remembers what Theresa said and stops herself, "Like they do."

[Calvin Strong]

"Right," Cal said. "And then you can slay the Jaberwocky and save Narnia. All things that could totally happen."

[Molly Malcolm]

Molly rolls her eyes, "And you could learn to be less of a condescending dick."

"It'd be nice to live in that wonderful fantasy world."

[Calvin Strong]

"Yeah, see, you insulting me? Kinda loses its bite when it comes after saying something retarded like 'it'd be fun to have this on TV'."

[Molly Malcolm]

Molly just holds up her hand towards Calvin and turns away, shaking her head.

"Whatever. So, if you're worried about cameras, can't you use the angles in the video to find them?" Molly asks.

[Kay Haddock]

"I dunno. You think they're still there?" she says, her dislike for Molly temporarily suspended on account of bigger problems.

[Molly Malcolm]

"Would it hurt to check?"

[Kay Haddock]

"One's from over there." she says, pointing at the table where Brigid had headbutted Haley.

[Molly Malcolm]

Molly gets up and heads over to the spot to start searching for any cameras.

[Steve Jones]

"Right, like the secret reality show cameras will be easy to spot."

[Kay Haddock]

"Got any better ideas?"

[Molly Malcolm]

"At least we're trying," Molly snaps, "You guys seem happy to just sit around complaining. Or is that what being an X-Men all about? Sitting around and bitching about your problems all day?"

Molly floats into the air, "Kay, what angle was the camera at?"
