Molly wandered out of the food line, looking for someplace to sit. Seeing Theresa and Brigid, she cautiously approached.

"Do you guys mind if I sit here?" Molly asks.

"I just arrived yesterday," Molly says, sitting down, "Haven't even had time to unpack everything yet, but I was starving."

"Well..." Molly says, glancing at the food on her tray, "...I was."

"When my parents first said they were sending me here, I was worried that it was going to be all people covered in scales or people with two heads. Like some sort of sideshow."

"I'm not freaked out. I mean, yesterday I met the nicest girl who had a pretty obvious mutation. I felt so bad for her, I mean, she didn't look that bad, even with the webbed hands and everything. If she would just dress a little nicer and maybe do something with her hair..."

Molly sighs, "Anyway. I just would've felt really out of place and uncomfortable if I had been the only normal looking person."

Theresa just sort of stared at her, though with her current lack of appreciable eye indicators, she might have been staring past her. "Normal is relative."

"Well, yeah, I guess," Molly says, "...That's a good point."

Molly frowned. She wasn't sure what to say. She had been really scared about coming here. She had grown up in Boston and heard all about Xavier's as a kid. How it was full of dangerous people and monsters or how it was attacked by supervillains all the time or how they hated humans and would do terrible things even if you looked human.

Of course, she hadn't believed all that, but she had been worried about fitting in. And it was starting to look like she had been right to be worried.

"I just meant 'normal' like, compared to most people. Most humans, I mean."

Oh my god, she is going to get shivved before the week is out.
