"I'll be ok." Isabel said "It was just a stupid dream, right?"

[Connor Marshall]

"Just a dream, luv, aye," Connor agreed, leaving out the 'stupid' part. "Everything's all right. Promise."

[Isabel Galen]

"It seemed so real." Isabel said "I was in the infirmary, and then Sentinels were crashing through and..."

[Connor Marshall]

"I know, luv. No way will those buggers get that close, though."

[Isabel Galen]

"How do you know that?" Isabel said, wanting to believe him, but too terrified to make it.

[Connor Marshall]

"Because we won't let 'em, luv," he said. "How many times've those bloody machines come calling? An' each time they get sent packing." He gave her another squeeze. "'Sides. If it ever happens? I'll be up there to keep the buggers out. 'S worked before."

[Isabel Galen]

"Ok." Isabel said "If I die I'm going to haunt you."

[Connor Marshall]

He smirked. "Least I'd have good company. I like you better like this, though."

[Isabel Galen]

"Good, 'cause I like me better like this too."

[Calvin Strong]

"Could say more, but I might use a word that pisses you off," Connor said with a smirk, 'cute" echoing in his brain. Good thing she wasn't a telepath.

"I am not cute." Isabel said. She might not be a telepath, but she did know Connor

[Connor Marshall]

"Your word, not mine!" he protested with a grin. "Cor, only girl I know that gets cross if ye tell her she's pretty."

"Cute is different." Isabel said "Pretty is acceptable. Barely."

[Connor Marshall]

Connor just chuckled. "Feeling a little better, luv?" he asked.

[Isabel Galen]

"A little bit, yeah."

[Connor Marshall]

He gave her another little squeeze. "Think you can sleep, luv?"

[Isabel Galen]

"I dunno." Isabel said "Maybe"

[Connor Marshall]

"Arright. I can stay out here if ya want."

[Isabel Galen]

"Nah, no need for both of us to sleep on a couch."

[Connor Marshall]

"Probably be more comfortable both in there," he admitted, nodding at his room.

[Isabel Galen]

"Yeah." Isabel said "No funny stuff, ok? I'm carrying some nasty stuff. Just so you know."

[Connor Marshall]

"Luv, you think I haven't memorized the story by now?" he chuckled. "Little bit put off that you think I'd try to pull somethin' like that on you, though. 'M not that bad," he said, stretching and standing up.

[Isabel Galen]

"I know." Isabel said "I trust you, I just don't want you getting ideas. I dunno, I'm tired. Can we just sleep?"

[Connor Marshall]

"'Course, luv. Let's sleep," he said, jerking her head. "Let's not forget, I'm bloody exhausted," he chuckled.

"Sounds good to me." Isabel said "I'll be out soon too."
