Regan was hanging out in the forest on the estates.

She liked forests. They were dark and creepy. Also no one ever came there so she didn't have to talk to anyone about her stupid feelings or whatever.

It was awesome.

Almost no one anyway. Apparently she wasn't the only one who liked the forest, since she could spot Mallory taking a walk, wearing a coat that looks just a bit too fancy to walk through the woods with.

Okay, that one had run out of steam. You didn't always have the best references right on hand though.

Mallory turns around and takes a good, almost clinical look at Regan. Then she pulls her hand back and slaps it across her face.

To Regan's surprise, the slap sort of connects. She can feel it striking her across the face and Mallory would feel a bit of resistance as she slapped the ghost.

"...Yeah. That wasn't a non-sequitur or anything," Regan says, rubbing her cheek, "How'd you do that?"

You're quite literally a projection of your mind. Sheer force of will." she says, stopping for a moment to pick up a branch from the ground. "Try taking this." she says, holding it up to Regan.

Normally, this would get little more than a snarky remark and an eyeroll from Regan, but she was having some impulse control problems lately. She pulls back her hand and slaps Mallory across the face.

"You're right!" Regan says, "The power was inside of me this whole time!"
