Dressed in a nice pair of black pants and a silk bla butto shirt followed by some open toed sandles for his toe claws. Kelly was reading his book and as usual wasn't really attention where. His book on the volcanos looked thrashed by his clawsand the cover was missing. It had truly seen better days...Kelly stumbled on the grass a few times but then went back on the path way.

Jayda was putting herself through some simple stretches after her morning workout, her sable hair tied back in a ponytail as she sported her usual black jogging shorts and singlet combo. She stepped back hastily out of the way as a guy nearly collided with her, landing on her butt with a thud.

"Hey!"

Kelly responded kindly, "Hey!"

Then he looked up and released it wasn't a greeting. <"I'm sorry mademoiselle. Forgive me>," Kelly dropped his book on the grass and knelt down beside her, "Are you alright?" He reached an open palm hand towards her to help her up.

"Um yeah, I'm fine.." Jayda accepted the hand up and rose to her feet.

"Its cool, no problem. Must be a good book."

Kelly started to stand up and was there to help Jayda up. He was trying to be polite to the new female. "Oh! It's very good! All about the difference between magma and lava. All the minerals and different types of volcanos!..." Kelly would keeping going about the book until someone cut him off.

"Okay.. magma.. thats volcanoes yeah?" Jayda said distractedly, she wasn't really that good with books.

"It looks a bit beat up - you get in a fight with it?"

"I'm sorry?" He paused, "Oh no!" Kelly bent over to pick up his book from the grass. He wasn't thinking about his wings which might have hit the new girl.

Jayda ducked backwards again this time avoiding his wings. She had a look of incredulous disbelief on her face and put her hands on her hips, an eyebrow raised.

"Are you serious?"

Kelly lifted his book up and shook it a few times. He accidently dropped it in a an area where the grass was still wet from the watering system. "I can't return the book now!"

"Huh? Serious about what?"

Jayda shook her head, her eyes filled with curiousity as she watched him bumble.

"It doesn't matter.. " She bent and scooped the book up, wiping it on her shirt front and smoothing out the pages with her hands as best she could. She turned it over in her hands, checking the damage.

"This was from the library?"

Kelly was shocked that she was wiping off the book on her shirt. "Yes I borrowed it from the library. Must have been old too because it ruined quickly. I don't know what I did. By the way sorry about not watching were I was going." His eyes looked sad because his actions had knocked a nice young lady over.

"By the way I'm Kelly St Luc," he reached out a hand claw to shake but then turned the hand into a fist for a fist bumb. "Heh sorry I forget I shouldn't shake hands sometimes."

"Jayda Nightridge, pleased to meet you Kelly St Luc." She bumped her knuckles against his.

"They must make some things harder for you, yeah?"

"Yeah, sometimes I think the people in the library, although they have lunch lady arms, are out to get me...They said if I turned in another book in a damaged condition I'll have to buy it. Which is no problem but I don't know what happens. Plus how is checking out geology books anyway, right?" Kelly smiled, "You have pretty eyes Ms. Nightridge."

Jayda laughed out loud at the lunch lady comment and passed the book back to Kelly, looking disconcerted as he commented on her eyes which strayed to a point away somewhere to the left and away from him.

"Yeah um, thanks. They kinda gave me some grief in high school - they used to be blue once, back before they turned totally black."

Kelly's face was very confused, "I see. Someone should tel those old ladies can be mean sometimes." Hopefully that will change the subject. "Did you burn them?" Or not.

"Burn the old ladies? Hang on.. what old ladies?" Jayda looked at Kelly in confusion trying to figure him out. Her embarassment faded in light of his comments and her eyes flicked back to his face.

"wait.. oh.. right, lunch ladies.. No I meant my eyes, they were blue once. Now they are black."

"Oh! I thought you were a nazi. Thought you were burning books...blue ones?" Kelly had just confused himself, again.

He shook his head, <"Your eyes are very pretty.> Sadly my eyes are turning bird like. They used to be brown. I think been awhile." He smiled at her as he looked into her eyes.

"Yeah...I'd like that." He looked down and took a long breath.

He looked back up, "Hi I'm Kelly and I like lunch lady arms with you...Uh..." Kelly's face turned bright read. He paused and bit his lower lip. "I mean. Hi, Im Kelly and wnat to have lunch with me today? I promise nothing about Nazis, book burnings, or other ladies' arms." He gave her a smile to show off his fancy job of brushing and, sadly, gave her his signature move The Kelly Wink (which is a just a wink with a smile).

Jayda raised a curious eyebrow at Kelly.

"Dove? Me?" Her voice was drenched with skepticism though she was as gentle with him as she knew how to be. "I think you may have the wrong girl there.. and I don't speak french or whatever that was, sorry. Strictly ignorant American.

Where did you want to eat?" Kelly was used to women not taking his compliments but it never stopped him from giving them.

"No one has ever given me one actually." He looked away thinking about all his failed relationships as he turned back he said, "If I remember correctly the state bird of Alabama is the Yellowhammer or do you pefer the Mountain Bluebird of Nevada? The Mountain Bluebird is very pretty in looks."

He continued to lead Jayda towards the cafeteria and thought, sin personified...sounds very kinky.

Jayda didn't dwell to much on all the names she had heard over the years instead smiling at Kelly in what she hoped was a pretty way.

"You'll have to excuse my ignorance on the subject of state birds.. I'm not much of a reader - unless you count the Art of War. Though perhaps you should get to know me before deciding?"

Kelly laughed, "Well if your fisty I'd go with Yellowhammer only because you know...hammers. If you have more inner beauty then outter defiantly go Mountain Bluebird. I'm actaully a big reader," Kelly looked at his ruined book that was now under his arm then continued, "...I..I ju...Nevermind me. The Art of War? Fiction or Science Fiction?" He was trying to make the slow walk romantic as they talked while heading to their destination.

Kelly cocked his head to the side as he looked at her, "I had one of those ipod things...it was a touch screen. Thing was all ruined within a few days. So I just try to stay old school. I also like actual books because it reminds me of this one book I read. The one where they brun books!" Oh god back to that subject again...what was the name of that book again! "Uh...Celcius 232?"
