I12 - Dinnertime

[Melody Martens]

Melody sat alone at a table with a tray of food, 'her' face sporting at least three small bandages--it would seem her first attempt at shaving didn't go as well as she hoped.

[Chloe Grant]

'Chloe' came in the door, and stopped in her tracks for a moment as she considered all the possible things that could happen and chose the one that ended up with her getting a good dinner and, more importantly, not getting sick from a bit of dodgy salmon. However, she missed the bit where most of those futures were also ones where she ended up sitting down across from Melody. "Hello." she said, awkwardly.

[Melody Martens]

"Hey," Melody said tentatively.

Shit...who is Professor Weaver....

"Did you get swapped around too?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Hey guys." 'Sara' says, sitting down next to Chloe, distracted look on her face as she tries to keep her thoughts focused on her food to keep everyone elses thoughts out of her head. Of course that has the effect of faintly stimulating the appetite of anyone nearby.

[Melody Martens]

"Hey...Rachel?"

[Chloe Grant]

"Yeah, I did, a bit." Chloe said, glad that she wasn't recognized. Yet.

[Sara Stanton]

"Sara, actually, but I guess you're not entirely wrong."

[Melody Martens]

"Well, at least you didn't get swapped into your ex," 'Derek' smirked.

[Chloe Grant]

"That must be awkward." Chloe said "Still, at least its someone you've seen naked."

[Sara Stanton]

"Is that really less awkward?"

[Melody Martens]

"When said ex hates you as almost as much as his current girlfriend? Not much of an improvement."

[Chloe Grant]

"She doesn't hate you." Chloe said, quickly.

[Melody Martens]

Melody eyed Chloe carefully for a moment.

"...Chloe?"

[Chloe Grant]

"That is the name of Derek's girlfriend, isn't it? I was trying to remember what it was. She seems very nice." Chloe said, trying to cover her tracks.

[Melody Martens]

"...you either lied about her not hating me, or you're lying about being unsure of 'Derek's girlfriend's' name, because I'm pretty sure you'd need to know the girl, or be her to make a call like that."

[Chloe Grant]

"Or maybe we talked about it once." Chloe said "She can be quite chatty, I'm sure you've noticed. Especially on the bus, or if she's had a pint or three. Or both!"

[Melody Martens]

"Are you *really* not Chloe?"

[Chloe Grant]

"Why would I sit here if I was." Chloe said "Everyone knows you can't stand her, it'd be a really terrible thing to do."

[Melody Martens]

"I don't like that she thinks I'm still into my ex, and accuses me of shit, but saying I can't stand y...her is a stretch."

[Chloe Grant]

"Yeah, because you haven't tried to beat on m-her a million times."

[Melody Martens]

"Chloe. I know it's you," she sighed. "And we've gotten in fights like three times. Once, before he was my ex, another time, because we were drunk and you were being ridiculous, and then the last time only because we never resolved the second time. I think we have it out of our system now, so let's just keep it fucking behind us."

[Chloe Grant]

"How did you know it was me?!?" Chloe asked "I... there was only a 50/50 chance that you'd work it out. Maybe, I think."

[Melody Martens]

"...whatever the hell the accent was, it wasn't Professor Weaver. And it still sounded somewhat like you. Mix in the clues that kept falling out of your mouth and there we go."

[Sara Stanton]

"Glad you worked that out without looking at the list that was emailed around." Sara deadpans. "And Chloe, I know you can't help it sometimes but you do get crazy jealous occasionally..."

[Melody Martens]

"There was an email? Shit. I need to check that. Derek didn't bother to give me my phone back until it was dead. He apparently thinks I swapped bodies with him just to spite him."

[Chloe Grant]

"He's just a bit freaked out by having boobs all of a sudden." Chloe said.
