A large bear was leaning against one of the larger trees on the grounds occasionally flexing her shoulders to scratch her back on the tree and trying to look nonchalant at the same time. This look didn't particularly work for an animal this size.

The bear stopped and tilted its head, regarding her for a moment. Then it started making a coughing sound reminiscent of a cat with a hairball before the mass receded and left a human Mary Ann dressed in a training uniform to stand up from an awkward four-legged position. "Hi."

"You swapped with Kay?" This seemed kind of obvious, but the wheels in Mary Ann's head were still grinding back up to human speed.
