And almost on cue, Trev shuddered, screamed, and then turned into a lovecraftian hellbeast.

"Ow...." Said the tentacled thing with a sigh and a sag of its shoulders. Which looked slightly too pitiful to be as menacing as it could have been.

[Kevin Gravis]

"We definitely need to compare notes on our powers if we're going to make it through this."

"Also: So thaaat's what Weinrich turns into. Creepy."

[Will Stanton]

"Absolutely, Ry..er...Kevin?

Also, why wasn't, say, J...Captain Britain effected?

And for that matter, who the hell were they? That's a lot of power to be throwing around..."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"I can't help but think this is a game to them."

[Victoria Valentine]

"They're children standing over an anthill and poking it to see what happens," Victoria said, rising over the ground and looking around. "The better question is what they're doing while we're disorganized and regrouping." She looked over at Janice expectantly.

[Stan Bowen]

"Trev, stay calm. Relax, clear your head.."

He turned his way, using standard techniques to help ferals control their form.

[Will Stanton]

"Wish I could bloody shift into a wheelbarrow," Will said, trying to lift Bear up, to get her inside all the more quickly.

[Byrna Cooper]

"I.. I'm okay.."

The clay mass grew some rudimentary arms and a head-like lump.

"I think I can make it to the infirmary.."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"If you can find them, be my guest," she said to Victoria. "My partner's out of commission, and as soon as everyone's safe I'm going back to guarding the lighthouse."

[Will Stanton]

"OK, good. Keep it nice and simple -- tubes and balls and basic shapes. I've got some things that could make you more comfortable, but we've got to get you inside. One, two, one, two."

[Trev Anderson]

Trev just sort of flailed around in a panic before falling to the ground and staring at his tentacles in what was perhaps fascination. Or maybe revulsion. Maybe both. Probably both.

[Stan Bowen]

"Trev, calm down.. Gain control, do not lose the control.."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria, meanwhile, seeing that she wasn't going to get any help, flew over to the Lighthouse and tried to find the traces of the portal the two well-dressed douchebags had escaped through.

[Narrator]

Nothing specific Victoria could sense -- the magic was more powerful than the two had let on, that's for sure. A bit of an unfamiliar tinge to it -- not related to her own magics, that she could tell. More information might require more research.
