Nina's thoughts weren't anything that could be considered coherent. Just a powerful desire to cause pain and suffering is all Rachel would be able to tap into at the moment.
Catching her girlfriend in strong arms, Jess lowered her to the floor, trying to figure out what the problem was, and deal with it if she could. Like all sensible surfers, she was well versed in CPR and emergency aid.
The butterflies fluttering around went totally unheeded.
Jess scooped Nina up gently in her arms and carried her out. She didn't spare a backwards glance for Zero, but she'd be back if she had to be. All 225lbs of her.
The danger gone, Victoria got out of bed angrily, and proceeded to give Cal a hard knee to the balls. "You both get the FUCK out of here, RIGHT now," she snapped, crouching over Zero to see how he was doing.

"And after that do you want me to go make a peace offering?" she asked, observing the situation and trying to figure out how to do this. "I don't suppose you can shift all of your injuries to one spot so that I can get you out of here without calling for a stretcher, can you?"
"All right, whatever you say," she said, not sure how much tougher the form was, but not wanting to deny him his pride. She helped him up, then shook her head as they started for the door. "Stupid psychotic classmates. I swear, what next."
"The fucking hell with that," Cal said hoarsely, trying to roll back over to get up. "Did they lock the door? Let's go back in and search the fucking room."
