Regan and Kay's Room: Sunken Battleship

[Kay Haddock]

"Hey, uhm... If Brigid's not your type then... who is?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Artistic, friendly, cute, someone who's equally as awesome as I am." She smiled, but there was a little lip biting going on with the smile. Now you're out on the limb, girl. No going back now.

[Kay Haddock]

"Oh... Oh!" Her face turns downright purple all of a sudden. "Y-you mean..."

[Theresa McMasters]

"What do you think?" Theresa says, smiling at her.

[Kay Haddock]

"I th-think I'm even stupider than I realized..." she almost nervously glances up at Theresa.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Hey..." Theresa said, holding up a hand. "If that's not your thing, that's cool. I totally understand. Just say so and we'll still be friends."

[Kay Haddock]

"What? No! No no no!" she says, her head snapping up to look at her. "That's not what I meant at all!" she says, reaching up to take Theresa's hand. "I uh... I'm just... not sure how... I mean..."

[Theresa McMasters]

"How what?" Theresa squeezed her hand.

[Kay Haddock]

"I dunno... Everything..." she mumbles, her heart skipping a beat or three.

[Theresa McMasters]

"That's the great thing. I don't think we hafta know," she said.

[Kay Haddock]

"Oh whew..." she smiles. "Cause this is all kinda new and a little scary but in a good way..."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Yeah, it is. I think this is the part where I ask you out though. So you want to go get dinner in Maldon or something?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Totally, yeah!"

[Theresa McMasters]

"We should probably say something to Brigid though. Don't want to spring the two of us together on her. That make sense?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah we should. Uhm... how about everyone else though?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"What about them?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Like, should we just tell everyone?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"If they find out, they find out. I don't see any reason to go out of our way to tell anyone except Brigid. I'm tired of hiding."

[Kay Haddock]

"Okay. Just wondering since, you know... I don't think anyone's gonna give us shit for it here." she smiles.

[Theresa McMasters]

"They better not. I've had enough shit about it to last a life time."

[Kay Haddock]

"Well if they do I'm gonna let them have it so they'll wish Brigid had just head-butted them instead."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Fear the wrath of the queen of the seas," Theresa said, laughing.

[Kay Haddock]

"Ask Alex." she chuckles. "Kinda socked him one when he tried to kiss me."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Well, he's kind of smitten with Brigid now, so I don't think you have to worry about that anymore."

[Kay Haddock]

"Oh yeah no, that was, like, the weekend when everyone else went home again for the summer."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Well then I fall back on my old explanation... boys are stupid."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah, pretty much." she chuckles.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Want to go hunt down Brigid?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah, let's get that over with." she nods.
