Nash looks at the darkforce covered cup a bit more.

She just said it was from a place full of demons, I'm thinking I shouldn't bother to ask if I can poke it. I don't think I want to now.

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy turns away from Regan and looks over at Nash. "You can touch it if you want. It feels strange though. Not really bad just... weird." Mercy shrugs. "I'm not sure exactly what it feels like to other people. Anyway, that's my cool parlor trick."

Regan seems perfectly happy to hate Mercy in silence at the moment.

There would probably be repercussions later.

[Nash Riley]

Nash builds up his nerve and gives the darkforce a quick poke.

[Mercy Wilkins]

It feels hot, and cold. It prickles like a minor electrical current, then feels liquid the next moment. A rush of weird tactile sensations assault Nash's finger, but there's no lasting residue or sensation the moment he draws his finger away.

Nash touches it again, longer this time.

[Mercy Wilkins]

It's largely the same, though the sensations are more intense. Not to the point that they become huge distractions, or bad pain, but certainly very noticeable. It is 'solid' in a sense, in that Nash can't touch the coffee cup, but it seems to fluctuate in actual depth that it covers the cup, constantly in motion.

"Weird stuff. Nobody knows that much about it I guess."

“Yes, it sure is strange. My own powers don't quite know what to make of it.”

[Mercy Wilkins]

"What's yours do?"

[Nash Riley]

“My powers basically work like this, when I look at some item I can see how it works, and after studying it a little more I learn how to make a copy if given the right tools. It also applies to stuff that is just materials like a sheet of metal or block of wood. With them I will get some info on their various physical properties. With that darkforce I'm not getting any of that, at least anything I know how to interpret.”

"Like I said, strange stuff. I made the mistake of asking a physics teacher about it once. He went on for a while, but I didn't understand what he was saying. In the end it was a lot of words to say he didn't know."

Mercy reaches out to touch the cup and the darkforce is absorbed into her hand.

Nash rubbed his chin. “So, what can you actually do with it... besides covering a cup?”

[Mercy Wilkins]

"Not a whole lot. I can make it into basically any shape. Other than that? I dunno. It won't last forever, but I can make it stick around for a while, longer if I concentrate on it."
