Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.
"What the..." Alex said, turning the corner and surveying the scene. "Ah... Early-morning redecorating?" He asked, doing his best to avert his eyes from the painting.
"Oh fuck, of course everyone shows up..." she grumbled.
Haley grabbed the other side of the door and tried to block as much of the painting still visible on the face of the door with her tiny frame as possible (not much).
"One, two, three..." she said lifting with Brigid.
Alex, in the meantime, pushed through the crowd to help pick up the door and to see what the damage was. He might be able to give it a quick fix for the time being, after all.
"Yes. By a ghost," she sighed. "You've all seen it would you please go the fuck back to your rooms or breakfast or class or anywhere but fucking here."
"Yeah, real funny, meathead," Cal said, hanging up the phone. "You want me to wait for you outside, babe?" he asked, obviously ready to get the hell out when his girlfriend shooed everyone off.
Alex, meanwhile, kept looking the doorframe over. "I can probably make it stay in the frame, but... I should probably do it after you guys are out of the room. It probably won't be very sturdy."
Haley swore under her breath, grabbed a handful of clothes out of a drawer and stalked into the bathroom, emerging a few minutes later dressed and still fuming.
About then, there was a gentle knock on the door. "I think someone had a problem they needed me to look at?" Victoria called through the door in a bored voice.
