Between classes

[Nash Riley]

Nash walked in the common room and sat down on a chair. He looked through the magazines available and ended up picking up a car magazine which he started to leaf through. He would occasionally look over and glance at his watch.

[Roland Sackville]

"Impatient, young man?" Professor Sackville said, entering the room.

[Nash Riley]

“Huh?” Nash looked up from the magazine. “Oh, Professor Sackville. No, I'm just trying not to loose track of time before my next class.” Nash again looks at his watch.

Most people would only notice a few things about Nash's watch, mainly that the watch itself looked very old, and that the band didn't match and looked new. Very few people would be able to tell it was a no-name knock-off of a Rolex from the 50's.

Roland, who knew very little about watches, would miss all off this.

"You know, you don't need to check every 30 seconds. Time doesn't randomly speed up."

[Nash Riley]

"I just really don't want to be late. Professor Weaver has gotten on to me before for being late and she's scarier than ever in her current form."

[Roland Sackville]

"Yes, I can see that," Roland chuckled. "Well, you don't need to worry. Most of the faculty here are fairly well behaved."

[Nash Riley]

“It not that I'd think she'd attack me or anything. I just think what ever punishment she came up with would be way worse than usual.”

[Roland Sackville]

"Oh, what's a few extra hours studying the classics between friends?"

[Nash Riley]

“The classics. Because twenty-first century century kids are sure to understand the nuances of nineteenth century literature.”

[Roland Sackville]

"Oh, I prefer my things a bit older. Have you ever read the original Arabian Nights? Or, I suppose, a translation of it?"

[Nash Riley]

“The whole thing? No. I'm pretty sure I had to read part of it for a class a year or two ago though."

[Roland Sackville]

"Now, there you have some classic literature."
