Ryan was huddled on his bed, his wings wrapped around himself, arms wrapped around his legs. God... I was trying to kill him... god... what the hell... what's wrong with me...

[Rachel O'Brien]

Rachel knocked on the door, and, when Ryan didn't open the door, checked to see if it was locked. It wasn't, so she slipped inside. Wordlessly, she knelt down beside him and hugged him close "I'm so glad to have you back."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan just leaned against her without uncurling. "How can you even look at me?" he whispered.

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Because you're my boyfriend." Rachel said "I care about you, and I'm happy you're back."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I'm a monster," he countered in a bleak, resigned voice.

[Rachel O'Brien]

"No, you're not." Rachel said "You're not."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I... wanted to kill him. I don't even know if I can blame that on the drugs. I tried to kill him."

[Rachel O'Brien]

"The drugs made you hyped up and aggressive." Rachel said "Messed with your impulse control too. Of course you wanted to kill him. Hell, I wanted to kill him."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I was killing him. Would have finished if Steph hadn't stopped me." He closed his eyes, leaning his head against her. "It felt good," he whispered.

[Rachel O'Brien]

"That was the drugs talking." Rachel said "Would you have done it otherwise?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I don't know," he admitted quietly. "I... Don't think anyone's ever made me that angry."

[Rachel O'Brien]

"You had drugs fucking with your emotions." Rachel said "Trust me. You'll never be that angry again."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I hope not," Ryan said. "I..." He shuddered, leaning his head against her shoulder. "God, I still want to kill him."

[Rachel O'Brien]

"He deserves it." Rachel said "I'm pissed he got away. Bastard."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan just nodded, his wings and arms loosening up a little as he leaned against her. "Promise everything's okay?"

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Everything is ok." Rachel said "I promise."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan nodded, uncurling and reaching for her. "I'm sorry you have to see me like this. I know this can't be fun."

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Its ok." Rachel said, hugging him "I'm here for you. Even for the parts that suck.'

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan lay back on the bed, enjoying doing that for the first time in a few days. "So that's what needing to be saved is like. Now I know why people hate it so much," he joked weakly.

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Exactly." Rachel said "Although it looks like you guys were doing ok before we got there."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Please. I almost got killed by a language teacher," Ryan scoffed.

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Who is a giant lion thing right now." Rachel pointed out.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Well yeah, but... I mean, she was a lion thing before, too, pretty much."

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Yeah, but now she's kind of more, y'know all grrr arrrrrrrgh."
