Bathsheba let out a little chuckle at this "Perhaps I can persuade you to share your knowledge." she said with a little smile <I think its time to take the pigeons elsewhere> she added, sotto voce to Atahaliah in rapid French. Fitz would notice that her accent was that of Paris.

Sergei Tereshchenko wrote:"Your hair shines like white gold."

"A very noble start." Athaliah said to Sergei <I quite agree.> she said to Bathsheba in the same language, her accent also Parisian.

"You speak French?" Bathsheba asked, sounding amused although inwardly she was cursing herself for the gafe. "And yes, that sounds delightful."

"Alas, I don't." Fitz replied, backing his words up with a little reinforcement. "I shall have to learn though, it sounds delightful. What I do however, is know a hidden little place where you can get a taste of home. You did suggest I shared my knowledge after all."

"Yes, I did." Bathsheba replied. Neither she nor her companion noticed the little 'push' that accompanied the words, although being what they were, they remained unaffected by it.

"Shall we go then?" Athaliah said to the assembled group "I could do with a light supper." she said, smiling a little at some internal amusement that the words provoked.

"Perhaps missing Mayskaja noch will have it's compensations after all." Fitz said, offering his arm to Bathsheba to walk her out.

Mayskaja Noch? Why would he bring that up?

Sergei offered his arm to Athaliah, "Shall we?"

Once they were outside, Fitz hailed a cab to take them to Bleeding Heart Yard, a cobbled courtyard tucked away of Greville St, in Hatton Garden, London's diamond district.

After assuring the manager that yes, they did have a reservation and it wasn't Fitz's fault if the manager couldn't find it, they were found a table in the restaurant's red room.

"You have very cultured tastes Fitz," he said as he took in the restaurant's high class ambiance.

"Expensive certainly." Fitz chuckled, picking something extravagant off the wine list. Whilst his choice had an air of insouciance about it, the wine, when it came, would turn out to be excellent.

Sergei had been contemplating Fitz's behavior. Particulary the odd reference to Mayskaja Noch.

Could he mean these ladies are the 'vampires' I've heard the X-Teams are fighting? They certainly look the part. Best play this carefully.

"Excellent choice my friend. I'm sure our lovely companions will enjoy it."

Fitz smiled, perusing the menu brielfy. "I don't know if the food's up to Parisian standards, but for London it's not bad."

"Sometimes simple food is the best." Athaliah replied.

"Indeed it is." Bathsheba agreed "But it is nice to go out and get some variety. Especially when the company is so diverting."

"Good company." Bathsheba echoed. A few moments later, the waiter arrived to take their order and the meal proceeded on comfortably for a while, as the party enjoyed their excellent meal and chatted, mainly about the various things to do in and around London.

As the plates from the main course were cleared to go to the bathroom. On his return, he ordered a bottle of desert wine to accompany the group's desert choices. This was less extravagantly priced than the previous wine choice, but was, as Fitz put it, "A gem."

"You are quite correct." Bathsheba said, once the wine had been poured and tasted "I have a delightful Chateau Latour back at my flat that I've been waiting to open. Perhaps you gentlemen would like to come back and share it with us."

"I hope you will." Athaliah added "A whole bottle is too much for just Bathsheba and myself."

I hope for your sake you are wrong. If not, I hope you really are a spy.

"A pity." Athaliah said regretfully "Perhaps we can have a drink another time." she might have said more, but stopped as a text reached her phone...

Get the meat and leave. Absalom spotted a team leaving the school.

"On that note, I think I hear that bottle of wine calling me." she said, darting a look to Bathsheba "Shall we go?"

"I think we shall." Bathsheba replied, reaching into her purse and laying some money on the table "Our car is waiting, do you need help getting home, Sergei?"

"You're very welcome." Bathsheba said as they headed to the door.

"Have a safe trip home." Athaliah added, giving him a little peck on the cheek as they got into the car.

Once they were seated, Bathsheba checked her phone:
I took out their spotter, sending you to the Abbey first.
"A delightful end to a delightful evening." Bathsheba said as the car headed off towards Mutant Town.

Fitz relaxed back in his seat for the journey, outwardly calm, inwardly hoping his hastily sent email reached it's destination in time.

They arrived at the building in Mutant Town that had been the site of many comings and goings that evening. As they arrived, a black van was leaving, heading off to an undisclosed location. As they got out of the car, the lights in one of the windows flickered a quick code.

Bathsheba let out a little hiss off annoyance as she looked at the window and then turned back to Fitz with a charming smile "I seem to have forgotten my...lipstick at the restaurant. Perhaps we can go back to fetch it."

Fitz, having unfortunately missed the coded signal, getting out of the car after Bathsheba, smiled.

"If it's that important to you, of course." he replied, hoping his silent watcher was on station and would have the sense to follow. He was armed, of course, and had his power to fall back on, but a little support never hurt anyone.

"Thank you for being so understanding." Bathsheba said as they climbed back into the car, making sure that Fitz was sitting in the middle. As they continued on their way, Fitz would notice that they were not heading back towards the restaurant.

"I'll see you when I get back." Athaliah said to Bathsheba, as she headed into the building
