[Elena Rousseau]

Elena rubbed her eyes and quickly covered a yawn as she went through the cafeteria line and grabbed a simple breakfast and filled a large container with coffee. She settled into a table by herself and picked at her breakfast, seeming more focused on the coffee.

[Nash Riley]

Nash had just gotten his breakfast, bacon, pancakes, and orange juice. He then found a mostly empty table, the one Elena was at, and sat down there, though not that near Elena.

[Steve Jones]

Steve, wearing blue jeans and a grey NASA t-shirt, took a seat across from the older boy and set down his tray.

"Hey," he said, "It's okay if I sit here... right?"

[Nash Riley]

Nash looked up at the other boy.

"Yeah, its okay."

[Steve Jones]

"Some place, huh?"

[Nash Riley]

"Have to sit somewhere."

He paused a bit.

"You're new here, I'd guess?"

[Steve Jones]

"Only here a few days now," he nodded.

[Nash Riley]

“It shows... the whole nervous new kid thing.”

[Steve Jones]

"God... am I still that obvious?"

[Nash Riley]

“Yes.”

[Steve Jones]

There was a moment of awkward silence.

"So... what's your mutant power thingy?"

[Nash Riley]

“It tells me how to make things, and makes me be really good at making them. But I have to actually get a good look at one of whatever it is I'm trying to make first."

[Steve Jones]

"That sounds awesome," he grinned.

[Nash Riley]

"It can be. Though there are times I wish it was eye lasers or something." He smirked.

[Steve Jones]

"Yeah. Me too. All I got is malfunctioning telepathy."

[Nash Riley]

"Malfunctioning telepathy?" Nash looked puzzled.

[Steve Jones]

"I can't really hear thoughts, I see them."

[Nash Riley]

"That explains it a bit better, but... how exactly is it malfunctioning?"

[Steve Jones]

"Well okay... maybe just atypical."

[Nash Riley]

"It is? I guess I have no idea how telepathy is supposed to work."

[Steve Jones]

He shrugged. "Just thought it was supposed to be hearing voices."

[Nash Riley]

“So, you could look inside my head and see what I'm thinking right now?”

In Nash's head he was imagining a mechanical part, a gear to be precise. To be more precise as to what Nash was imagining, as it was very precise to him, it was a 3D model of a gear with all the needed information like material, size, number of teeth, pitch, and more, all shown at once.

[Steve Jones]

Steve squinted briefly in concentration.

"A gear and a bunch of measurements."

[Nash Riley]

"You're right. I guess I have to watch out in case you steal one of my genius plans." Nash smirked.

[Steve Jones]

He let out a single laugh. "So wouldn't be able to do anything with that."

[Nash Riley]

"Probably not." he smiled.

[Steve Jones]

"Now if it was a football play, then you could worry."

[Nash Riley]

"I don't think I'll come up with one of those. I mostly just stick to watching Steelers games."

[Steve Jones]

"Pro ball? Dude, it's all about the college ball."
