Issue 11: Staff Changing Room

[Isabel Galen]

Isabel stood in front of her locker, swallowing several aspirin.

[Derek Scott]

"Long night?" Derek asked as he shrugged into his outfit.

[Isabel Galen]

"Yeah, and now I'm paying for it." Isabel said "Not dumb enough to try 'hair of the dog' before work. Dr. Z would kill me."

[Derek Scott]

"Eh, he acts like he'd kill everyone. Can't you just... I dunno, pass it off to someone else?"

[Isabel Galen]

"I wish." Isabel said "If it happens to me, I can't give it to someone else."

[Derek Scott]

"Well, that's hardly fair," Derek said. "How bad is it?"

[Isabel Galen]

"I'll live." Isabel said "But it feels like I've got someone hammering my head."

[Derek Scott]

Derek winced. "Just keep a water bottle permanently attached to you." He considered it. "Or soda. Sugar helps sometimes."

[Isabel Galen]

"Yeah, I'll grab a Coke on my break" Isabel said "Thanks for skipping the lecture."

[Derek Scott]

"Right, because I'm totally the person to talk about having too much at the bar," Derek said with a smirk.

[Isabel Galen]

"I thought your girl was all up on your back about that." Isabel said as she locked her locker.

[Derek Scott]

"Yeah, well, that doesn't seem to stop me. Or her, I guess." He shrugged. "Just grab someone to help if you have to do something you don't know if you can concentrate on, ok? Therapy's pretty empty today, so I should be free."

[Isabel Galen]

"Ok, I'll remember that." Isabel said, as she headed out to start her shift.
