"And how did you come to that amazing conclusion?" Isabel asked, sarcastically.

"You clearly have no idea how people react in the real world. And you've carefully constructed for yourself this situation where inaction is somehow noble. You've created excuses to sit on the sidelines. Oh, my power does more harm than good. Oh, I can't control what happens to my people. Oh, the boy I love doesn't feel the same. It's pathetic, really."

"And I'm sure you have a better alternative."

"Any sort of action. I suppose the easiest would be the boy."

"Yes, you're right, I should totally try to be a homewrecker, and ruin what could be a good friendship."

"Well, you shouldn't sit here, getting drunk, feeling sorry for yourself."

"Take up whittling. You'll live longer."

"Ok, so lay some wisdom on me. What *should* I do?"

"Anything! Anything is better than sitting here sulking. If you truly love this apparently perfect man, go out and prove it! Do something! Or find a way to use your powers responsibly. Do something! Or start an organization fighting against mutant discrimination. Do something!"
