Room 235: Alex Campion and Zero

[Victoria Valentine]

"Yes, isn't it?" she chuckled, reaching up and running a finger along Zero's horn. "One of these days, I need to figure out where it is you work. Ought to make for an interesting night once I do."

[Zero]

"Good luck with that," Zero says, smiling at Victoria.

[Victoria Valentine]

"You don't think I can?" she asked, smirking slightly. "Come now, give me more credit than that."

[Zero]

"Oh, I'm sure you might," Zero says, "But I'm not going to make it easy for you."

[Victoria Valentine]

"I wasn't expecting you to," she said, shrugging. "That'd sort of take the fun out of it, wouldn't it? Unless you're expecting me to resort to something pitiful like following you."

[Zero]

"That would be demeaning for both of us," Zero says with a smirk.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Exactly," she said, smiling. "Of course, in the spirit of fairness, you could tell me what nights you work, so that I don't have to stake out the same places for a few days to make sure I've got it right or wrong."

[Zero]

"Sure and then we can play Candyland," Zero says, "No hints."

[Victoria Valentine]

"I know, somehow I didn't expect you to go for the 'fairness' approach," she said, chuckling. "Still, it'd be fun seeing you work. I hope there aren't too many possibilities to look through, I haven't even scouted any place out yet." She shook her head. "Dear me, I'm starting to slip. I need to watch that."

[Zero]

"Well, have fun with that," Zero says, running a nail along Victoria's collar.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Oh, I intend to," she said, smiling. "I was planning on having fun tonight, too, but if you're too tired for me, I can always leave," she added, teasingly.

[Zero]

"Tempting..." Zero says with a smirk, "But what if I don't care for playing seconds with Mr. McGraw?"

[Victoria Valentine]

"Now there's an interesting retort," Victoria mused, smiling up at Zero. "I might ask, of course, what beside the fact that I've managed to see a bit more of him, makes you think that he isn't playing seconds to you?"

[Zero]

"Intuition," Zero says with a smile, "I don't particularly care what you do, Ms. Valentine. But I don't share very well."

[Victoria Valentine]

"All right, I'll bite," Victoria said, sitting up and leaning against the back of the couch, sitting sideways to face Zero. "Are you saying that you haven't been having fun with various other people?" she asked, tracing her fingertip down the side of Zero's face.

[Zero]

"Not what I'm saying," Zero says with a smile, "Just trying to give you fair warning."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Well, I'll just have to make sure to do my level best to make sure you aren't neglected, won't I?"
