Ye call this a labyrinth?

The Estate's meticulously kept gardens, including a hedgemaze that students have occasionally described as "sadistic" and a sizeable rose garden. Benches in shaded spots are plentiful, and the gardens are popular to study in on pleasant days.

"And you're calling this genocide, when what it is, at the moment, is a census.

Oh, don't get me wrong -- this is how these things start. Trust me. It's happened time and time again throughout history. I know. But calling this genocide? I know, let's go to Somalia and ask them if this counts as genocide. Or the Congo. Maybe Brazil?

You're complaining about a foregone conclusion after step 1. Call it a genocide when it gets to genocide, do things to stop it before it gets there.

Honestly, you're being just as offensive as they are here," he said, practically bristling. "Genocide. Honestly."

"What the hell can I do?" Isabel said "I went fucking door to door this summer, trying to get people to call the House, then the Senate, then the President, about not making the MRA a law. We lost. We lost, and before long we're all going to be dead."

"Because I like to get the nomenclature straight when I know who I'm cursing to the gods. Come on now. You know how precious life is? And yet you're wasting it. I'm not even talking about your jump off a bridge quip -- tip, the "see you around" kinda takes away from that -- I'm talking about you sitting here moping over something still very much in question, not to mention in control. And if things do go to shit? You'll complain about your powers not helping, or helping in the wrong way. Here's the thing, Isabel -- history is written by those who show up. If you don't suit up, you're not in the scoresheet at the end of the day, and history doesn't remember bench warmers."

"So what? I show up, and my life sucks. I don't and my life sucks. No matter what I do, I'm going to be fucking miserable. So why should I give a fuck? Let me guess, I should shut up, use my powers and be a useful little mutie."
