F the MRA Party

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.

F the MRA Party

Two parties in such a short timespan? Unheard of! Yet, here one was, designed to get the XI students to know and interact with their XU counterparts. Unlike the welcome home party, this was indoors, and had a lot more, y'know, music and stuff. The TV was on, there was popcorn and sodas and punch and things.

Kay made her way into the room and looked around, feeling a little stupid for being the first of the highschoolers to arrive and stands next to the doorway awkwardly rubbing her arm.

Victoria came in next, dressed in a dress that, while not goth by any means (god forbid she dress all in black all the time), certainly seemed to play up the 'witchy' aspect a bit. She stopped in the doorway, leaning against it so she was as close to 'behind Kay' as she could manage. "Well, someone certainly seems excited to be here," she teased.

Victoria grinned and walked into the room. "Well, you're just so cute when you're looking all nervous and self-conscious, how could I resist?" she teased. "So how do you like England so far?"

"I know, right? Much better than some stuffy school building," she said with a smirk. "We'll have to show you London sometime. If they don't keep you all too busy to get out, at least."

Nash came in and looked around. The party wasn't really wasn't his type of thing, but he decided to at least get some food and drink out of it.

He headed over to the refreshments and picked up a cup of punch and a bag of popcorn before looking for somewhere to sit down.

Trev came in dressed in a black button down shirt and a pair of nice jeans with Stephanie at his side, they grabbed some punch and seemed to be making small talk and catching up. He was, at the moment, pretty glad he'd asked Steph to come with so he wouldn't be the lone old person amongst all the kids.

Elena slipped into the party, crowd-watching for a moment. She was dressed in an ankle length skirt of a Bohemian style and a simple blouse that was only a couple of steps up from a t-shirt. Slipping through the crowd, she made her way to the drink table and grabbed a soda, pausing to look around again.

John wandered in. He had traded his usual "Geek Chic" for khaki dress slacks and a light blue v-neck over a white shirt. As he stepped up to the drink table, he flashed Elena a shy smile.

"Haven't seen you around. New for the semester?"

"I'm John, by the way," he said, smiling as he extending a clawed hand, "Genbu if you're into the going by codenames thing."
