[Quentin Watson]

Quentin Watson let himself into Stan's lab, taking a moment to smirk as he looked around, before calling out.

"Delta Flight! The Purple Man is on the loose! Or Stryfe, or Egghead, or some other damn thing."

[Stan Bowen]

A loud voice came from around the corner.

"the Purple man? That's strictly Gamma Flight muck. Call me when Fin Fang Foom goes on a purple pants rampage!"

[Quentin Watson]

"Why, if I didn't know better, I'd say that was Vanguard. But that was clearly the voice of some kind of old man."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan poked his head around the corner.

"Hey, I'm still technically middle aged. Now you on the other hand, King Tut Serior..."

[Quentin Watson]

"I'll have you know I'm 39. Turned 39 again last year for the 25th time."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan laughed, before coming up to shake Hands.

"Quentin, good to see you again!"

[Quentin Watson]

"It's been too long. I'm sorry I haven't visited since you've been set up here; you know how work can be."

[Stan Bowen]

"I do indeed. Things have been pretty hectic here as well."

[Quentin Watson]

"I know. I've heard.

I'm sorry about Bobby, Stan."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan sighed, nodding.

"Thanks, Quentin. He's.. He's been missed. a lot."

[Quentin Watson]

"It's the hardest part of this life. Just not fair for someone so young."

[Stan Bowen]

"I Really hoped he could bypass the consequences of our life... But we all pay the piper, No matter what."

[Quentin Watson]

"How many times must the piper be paid for his song," he nodded.

"Ah, well. To better times, I suppose."

[Stan Bowen]

"To better times, and the next generation. Here's to us all getting along one generation down the line."

[Quentin Watson]

"To the day where we won't need capes and tights."

[Stan Bowen]

"Except at costume parties."

He smiled, changing the subject.

"Thanks for stopping by.. Any business at the university bringing you here?"

[Quentin Watson]

"Doing some research. You mutants are always pushing boundaries, you know?" he chuckled.

[Stan Bowen]

"we do excel at that." he replied, smiling.

[Quentin Watson]

"You know how backed up we get in government jobs, we're just NOW getting around to analyzing some of the earlier incidents. It's insane."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan whistled.

"Wow, that's quite a backlog."

[Quentin Watson]

"Yeah, we're studying the attack of the robots, essentially, in association with the CIA and the Japanese Ministry of Defense. Studying their methods, should they choose to approach us again.

...Yes, I know. Blame the meddling of politicians. Just like always."

[Stan Bowen]

"Hey, I just teach and learn now. My blaming of political meddling comes when tuition goes up. Again."

[Quentin Watson]

"You should take that up with your boss."

[Stan Bowen]

"I do. She she hates it too. But the public purse is not our say. We just make do."

[Quentin Watson]

"Well, if there's anything I can do to help, you have my number.

Not that my department does much with education funding."

[Stan Bowen]

"What does your department do, again?" he asked, smirking.

[Quentin Watson]

"Research," he smirked back. "Very important research, for Queen and Country."
