Samantha sat down across from her and closed her eyes. The sensation of flapping wings grew sharper as the physical world faded away. As they descended into Nailah's mind she would be able to start to see the flock.

"I can see them! The ravens!" she sounds excited until she notices the descend is quite literal. She's plummeting from the sky above a vast desert. In her surprise it takes her a couple panicked moments to align herself right and unfold her wings to slow her fall.

Samantha for her part actually floated down quite a bit more peacefully, looking about her.

"A bit bleak, but I'm sensing a theme here."

Though in the distance a small city is huddled on the bank of a river.

"Plenty of sand. Let's hope there's not too much wind," she said as she looked about for tracks in it.

There's a slight breeze and some of the dunes are shifting faintly, but there's still a track of disturbed sand running through the desert. Unsurprisingly, they seem to come from the settlement.

"Hmm. Think these are big enough?" She mused, starting down the path.

"Yeah, though I started out normal-sized before I went into the forest..." she says as they glide along, following the trail. And as they do it narrows until it looks like something a normal-sized person would leave behind.

She looked to the city gates.

And Sam would be right. There are a couple of guards at the gate throwing a glance their way but seem to lose interest quickly when they notice that Sam's being accompanied by Nailah.

"So I'm everyone here? But I'm not noticing. As far as I can tell I'm right here and nowhere else..."

She went to enter the city.

"Still seems odd..." she says as they follow the trail into the city. Soon though the tracks mingle with others in the streets of the city and it becomes harder to spot them.

Nailah gives a helpless shrug.

"It's all symbolism and metaphor, right? So probably somewhere that's not just... I dunno... backdrop?" she says, looking around at the mostly small and insignificant looking buildings around.

"It's almost like it's still being built. I guess that's appropriate, since we're in university..."

She looked about for one of the more developed buildings.

There were a couple, mostly towards the center of town, that were a bit more massive to say the least (if still in various stages of being constructed), most of the placed around a big open space filled with a bustling market. The furthest along appears to be the temple of Sekhmet while one that barely has a foundation seems to be intended for Isis. Right now most workers seem to be focused a different one though right now.

As they get closer it becomes a bit easier to spot the drawings on the outer walls.

"She's also the Goddess of love and joy." a helpful priest of Thoth supplies, having noticed the pondering looks.
