He hadn't gotten other little things right, like picking her up from her room, but this part of the whole 'going on a date' thing he knew! He had butterflies in his stomach all the way down the hall toward her door. "So," he said, pausing to swallow when he realized his mouth was dry. "I... had a really good time tonight."

He just smiled at that. "Don't know why anyone wouldn't," he said. "I'd... um... like to do it again, if you want to. I mean, you don't have to decide now, I'm just... y'know, saying."

She stepped closer to him, looked up into his eyes, and pulled him into a kiss.

Alex hadn't been sure about this part, but one thing that he'd always heard was that it was the girl who decided. At least the first time. So as she leaned in, he was right there with her, pulling her in to kiss her. He seemed just as nervous as her, although definitely as enthusiastic about the idea.

She interrupts herself when she sees what's going on outside.
