Move-In Days Make Me Nervous (Open)

Natalya was always nervous on move-in days. With so many people coming and going, it was a security nightmare. Still, she kept herself busy manning a refreshment table with cold drinks and snacks for the people moving in boxes. She stopped to check the temperature in one of the coolers and her hair flushed white as she rechilled it, the ice in the cooler freezing again.

"Yanno," Morph said before taking a glass of lemonade and siphoning it through a finger Mork-style, "there's been a lot of move-in days since this school started."

[Natalya Romanov]

"And hopefully there will be a lot more. I'm just paranoid. I trust my guys, but there's only so many pairs of eyes."

[Kevin Sydney]

"You know that probably the worst thing that's gonna happen today is one of 'em tries to sneak booze in, right?"

[Natalya Romanov]

"I like your optimism. It's just my job to be paranoid." She looked at the lemonade. "Much like it's your job to be strange." She smiled.

[Kevin Sydney]

"Oh c'mon, you couldn't expect me to pass up an opening like that. Robin Williams. Classic!"

[Natalya Romanov]

"Invoking Robin Williams in no way makes it less strange."

[Kevin Sydney]

"Killing me here, KILLING me!" He made an exaggerated face.

[Natalya Romanov]

"I like Robin Williams. But you have to admit he's an oddball. But then I may have a thing for oddballs."

[Kevin Sydney]

"You keep dropping lines like that, a guy's liable to get a swelled head."

[Natalya Romanov]

"Well, I was going to offer to make dinner for you, if you'd be interested in that sort of thing."

[Kevin Sydney]

"I've been known to eat, on occasion."

[Natalya Romanov]

"I've certainly witnessed it. My apartment, tonight, 7:00 PM?"

[Kevin Sydney]

"Already tapped someone to cover for you on the surprise inspections, huh?"

[Natalya Romanov]

"Surprise inspections don't start til tomorrow. I have to give them time to get into trouble."

[Kevin Sydney]

"Oh, you're a tricky one, definitely."

[Natalya Romanov]

"You don't know the half of it. Speaking of tricky, how are you at shoulder rubs?" She smiled, keeping half an eye on him while she put some more drinks in one of the coolers.

[Kevin Sydney]

"Oh, that is a dangerous proposition, lady." He grinned.

[Natalya Romanov]

"You didn't answer my question. Or can I assume that you're no good at them?"

[Kevin Sydney]

"Let's just say that you probably shouldn't operate heavy machinery after one."

[Natalya Romanov]

"Then I'll take one as 'payment' for dinner," she said. "I carry all my stress there, so you have your work cut out for you."
