End of orientation: waiting for a delivery

"Its always nice to have other new people around." Christy agreed "Tommy and I have been to the city a few times, if you ever decide to go."

[Brigid Plunder]

"With all the people I've been meeting, I'm going to have a full plate in the fall."

She smiled.

"Not that I'm complaining, really."

[Thomas Bowen]

"it's a pretty cool place, for sure."

About that time, A large SUv pulled up, being driven by one of Stan's old associates from ESU.

Smiling, Dr. Monica Stern stepped out, waving to the kids.

[Christine Bowen]

"Hi Monica!" Christy called out, waving "Got our stuff?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Guess I should leave you guys to this, unless you could use some help?"

[Thomas Bowen]

"Right here, kiddo. Do you want to share in the heavy lifting, or do you want to show off and get this done in a few seconds?" she said, smirking and gesturing to the large boxes in back.

Tommy smiled, turning Brigid's way.

"hang on, you got to see this."

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex, meanwhile, had been hanging out waiting for his mom when he saw the luggage-laden SUV pulling up. Well, might as well, right?

"Hey, need a hand with all that?" he asked as he walked up. "I- oh, hey, Brigid." Rowr. TO his credit, Alex was much better than Tommy at keeping his eyes at face level when anyone was watching him.

"Sure." Christy said, handing Alex a 100 pound box of books "I can't carry all of these in one trip."

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex scoffed, then handed the box back to the avatar that formed behind him. "Yeah well maybe I can. What else've you got?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Oh hey, Alex."

She blinked at the huge box of books, but thankfully neither of them seemed to be having trouble.

"Of course. Super-strength. Figures."

[Alex Carpenter]

"Indirectly," Alex verified, glancing over at Brigid as he answered, loading another box onto the avatar. "Still gets the job done."

[Christine Bowen]

"Ok, I can get the rest." Christy said, as she hefted on two duffle bags and picked up a pile of boxes.

[Brigid Plunder]

"...I think she wins, huh?"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Eh, only because there was no couch to move," Alex said, smirking.

[Thomas Bowen]

"She'd have taken two couches, easy!" Tommy said, proudly.

[Brigid Plunder]

"I think he's talking about balance."

[Thomas Bowen]

"So am I!" he replied, grinning.

[Brigid Plunder]

"You going to take that?" She asked Alex with a smirk.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Have you ever tried arguing with wide-eyed denial?" Alex countered with a smirk.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well I don't know, he's got a pretty good hat and his sister could bench press a truck."

[Alex Carpenter]

"Oh, you like the hat? Good, now I know what to get you for your birthday," Alex chuckled.

[Thomas Bowen]

tommy was flipping through the front seat, getting a couple small items even he could handle.

[Brigid Plunder]

"You don't even know my birthday," she said as she stuck her tongue out at him.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Do I look like someone who stresses tiny details like that? Yeah, that's what I thought," he countered, winking back at her.

[Christine Bowen]

"Come on, lets head to the dorm." Christy said "You got that ok, T-Bow?"

[Thomas Bowen]

"Yeah, I think I got it. Lead on!"

[Brigid Plunder]

"You know, now that I think about it maybe I'm not dressed the best to help out here."

[Christine Bowen]

"Its ok." Christy said "We've got it."

[Thomas Bowen]

tommy nodded, his face getting a slight bit flushed again as he began to walk off.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well ah... see you around, I guess?" She said with a helpless look to them.

[Thomas Bowen]

"Sure.. We've still got a few hours of orientation, right?" Tommy said, trying to keep it level.

[Christine Bowen]

"We'll see you at the closing reception." Christy said.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Eyes back in your head, kid," Alex said under his breath to Tommy with a smirk as he waved to Brigid.

with that he immediately turned red, hurrying off behind his sister towards the dorms.

Alex just chuckled, keeping the avatar in sight as he hurried ahead to open the doors.
