Room 235: Alex Campion and Zero

On the first day she moved in, BB and her dad could be found arguing good-naturedly about how to arrange her half of the dorm room. Instead of going to convocation, she spends the first few days of September with her dad exploring the area around the school, though missing the excitement in Mutant Town. Finally, her father returned to the U.S. on the third.

Although she knows she's going to miss her dad terribly, BB is anxious to find a chance to meet people her age.

A bit later in the afternoon, a muscular young man with brown hair unlocked the door to the room, carrying quite a bit of luggage and began setting up in the empty space in the room.

In the confusion of the first few days of class, a minor administrative mixup is resolved. At the end, Bryan moves out to another dorm and Alex Campion is assigned space with Zero.

He stepped out and closed the door.

In the early morning Teri silenty walks through the hall and to Alex' door, slipping a folded piece of paper under the door before leaving again. It reads:

To: Alex
Sorry about how we(I?) acted last night.
We think we have come to realize a few things.
If you want to talk we'll be at the Quad all morning.

"Make yourself comfortable," Zero says.

Ryan smirked. "Yeah, well, saying 'bad idea' is easier beforehand with a cool head down in the bar," he chuckled. "And I'm sure you get this all the time, but you're good," he added. Compliments should always be given where they're due, after all.

Victoria fixed Zero with a look. "Now, the perks allowed to the people who get to call me 'Victoria' are much more fun than the ones for people who have to call me 'Ms. Valentine.' Are you really trying to limit yourself here?" she asked, smiling a little. "I'm sorry, is this a bad time? I can always come back tomorrow."

Victoria laughed a little. "Powerful? No, no, just rich and smart. 'Powerful' is something I'm still aspiring to." Victoria was dressed more casually than usual, in just a tank top and sweat pants, obviously in cool-down mode from the day. "But I haven't seen my favorite troublemaker about lately, and I wanted to see what you've been up to."

Zero's tone would come off cruel to most, but having spent some time with Zero Victoria would probably be aware that Zero was just being playful.

Likewise, Victoria trusted that Zero would recognize the banter in what she said, rather than take it as some pitiful plea for pity. "Besides, you know I like to share the wealth, if you'd need anything," she added with a little smile, running a fingernail along Zero's arm as they entered the room.
