[Stan Bowen]

"A few more minutes- Are you still okay?"

Stan was concerned, unsure if he could keep Amanda comfortable.

[Amanda Weinrich]

"I'm warm enough." Amanda replied "But the slime in my hair is starting to dry. Its going to take fucking forever to wash it out."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan chuckled.

"I don't know.. we may have to chop it all off, and start over from scratch."

[Amanda Weinrich]

"No thank you." Amanda replied "I don't think I could pull off the shaved head look."

[Stan Bowen]

"Okay, We'll try to save what we can. No promises, though."

[Narrator]

A van arrives, and several mutants in dark clothes, with X logos on their shoulders step out. One of them goes over to Stan and Amanda, inquiring if they need any medical assistance, or a ride home.

Another pair bags the body, and carts it up and into the van. The last member of the team takes samples of the blood, and then activates some kind of disintegration power, or transmutation power, or something. It takes her a few minutes, but when she's done the blood is gone, and any damage to the alley and items in it is covered up or repaired.

[Stan Bowen]

"Let's go home."

With that, Stan shifts back to normal, then helps Amanda into the transport vehicle.

"Turn up the heat, will you?"

[Amanda Weinrich]

Amanda huddled in her borrowed coat, hoping that the car would warm up soon as they headed to their destination. "I'd like to get to my flat as soon as possible." she said to the driver, sure that Stan wouldn't object.
