"The North campus area is considered private, but the South campus area is not. But the South end doesn't look much like a campus so they'll want to be on this end I think."

[Niles Radcliff]

Niles walks over to the table table and picks up a form, then goes over to a nearby seat and starts filling it out.

"So you 'could' toss them out if you wanted to? Propably not a good idea, I was just wondering."

[Will Stanton]

"Well.." He looked around then picked up a pen that was at the booth. He gripped it tightly then tossed it up into the air. In an instance, the pen was five time's it size in midair. He caught it.

"My power is to make things either bigger..or stronger I guess. At least five time's it size. I can use it on just about anything. Including people."

Will, who's been standing around people watching (and, not coincidentally, NOT being people-watched by the nosy reporters outside), nearly chokes on his coffee when he hears that.

He wanders over, and when Marcus and Sara have a slight pause in their conversation, butts in.

"Hey, Sara--we met at convocation, nice to see you again." Turning to Marcus, "I don't think we've been officially introduced or anything, though I've seen you around. Will. Will Stanton."

[Sara Stanton]

Momentarily distracted from her conversation with Lumis she turns her head.

"Oh, hey Will. Here to sign up too or just hiding from the guys with the cameras?"

[Niles Radcliff]

Niles continues to fill out the form, only partially paying attenion to the conversation going on around him.

"Oh, I signed up earlier today, although hiding from the cameras is always a plus, too. I blend in more than some, but still--when you're on this side of the gates, there's only so much you can do, right?

Anyway, yeah, I've signed up. Partially for the training, and partially for the spiffy uniform--I am tired of buying new shirts."

[Sara Stanton]

"As I told Marcus earlier, could always just hide as a statue but that'd get bloody boring fast. And I'm -so- hearing you on the clothes!"

"Yeah, cotton MAY be the fabric of our lives, but it's not exactly convenient when you don't always necessarily have the same sized torso. Or a torso at all, for that matter."

Niles finishes filling out the forms then hands them over to one of the attendants at the table. He then decides to go take a look around campus so he wonders off.

"Hey there. Name's Marcus Kingston. Nice meeting you Will." He chuckled at the later part of their conversation then went ahead and turned in the form before returning to the two.

''So, I overheard you two talking. You can increase people's mass? I mean, other people's?''

[Marcus Kingston]

"Yeah. I can make people grow. Power Range style. Normally, at least five times bigger. I was telling Sara that'd be awesome because she could try changing into things she normally couldn't if we worked on it together."

[Will Stanton]

''Now, that IS interesting. I'm in kind of a similar boat, actually. My one major restriction in me shapeshifting is my mass--I can get somwhere around double, triple if I'm really sweating, my size, but it's hard to work with what I don't have. I was just imagining..if I had five times the mass, and then I doubled it again...

Well, I was joking with my roomy that the attack of the 50 foot tall Will was impossible, but...''

[Marcus Kingston]

Marcus grinned. "Well, with me around..I guess it isn't. There's probably ways I could increase that number but after I graduated I kinda stopped trying to learn new tricks. So, there's still a lot I could work on. I don't mind being people's super charger either. I think that's more useful anyhow."

[Will Stanton]

''Well, that's one reason I signed up-hopefully, someone will be able to help me.

I've tried to go larger, but a certain point, I just kind of...pass out from the strain.

And you don't want to be the guy to take care of a 10 foot tall, five-hundred pound unconcious guy.''

[Marcus Kingston]

He chuckled. "Yeah. That sounds like a rough time. Well, with my ability it'll cut you some slack on your own strain. So, I guess I'll be your shortcut. It also helps that you're used to being larger. That's the problem with just growing anyone longer. It's not the easiest feeling to deal with. So, I think me and you should make it pretty awesome."

[Will Stanton]

''It'd be a titch more useful than just REDUCING mass all the time. Great for sneaking, but a little dangerous, even when no one is TRYING to hurt you.''

[Marcus Kingston]

"Well, like I was telling Sara maybe we'll end up training together. Even if it's not through the X-men stuff, we could always take a stab at some stuff in the Danger Rooms."

Con brought his form back a few minutes later, and dropped it off, having ticked the leader box. He didn't expect to get picked for that, what with the American X-teens around but figured what the hell.

[Zoe Walker]

Zoe's short form slips through the crowd and snags an application form. She pulls out a fancy silver pen and begins to fill it out, "Uh, hi Lumis. You don't know me, but I'm Slick, I was one of Ms Frost's students. I just wanted to say thanks for helping support the U here and the teams and stuff, I'm looking forward to the training!"

[Victoria Valentine]

Clad today in black leather pants and a black leather vest, Victoria sashayed up to where the applications were. "I'm not too late, am I, Lumis?" she asked sweetly, another disconcertingly expression on her face.

"Well, like I was telling Sara maybe we'll end up training together. Even if it's not through the X-men stuff, we could always take a stab at some stuff in the Danger Rooms."

"Ooh, that sounds like a great idea! And I bet I could learn a thing or two from Will, he seems to have a better grasp of it than me and they seem similar enough... I'm not sure how those rooms work though, I've only ever heard of them as some kind of training arena."

"Well, I wouldn't say I'm an expert or anything--I've only really used it in private, not in danger-type conditions, which I'd imagine you would find in some kind of Danger Room, plus I don't think I could do all the things that you can do..a full statue is out of my league."

Will then grins devilishly

"That being said, if you ever want to go for a roll in the Danger Room, call me up. I'm game."

[Sara Stanton]

"Well you definately have the growing thing down better than me at least. I've only tried getting to maybe twice my size a few times and after a minute or two that already gets hard to hold up. Plus I need to draw in that mass from somewhere around me. But we should definately see if we can try some things out in one of the Danger Rooms later. Maybe tomorrow? I never really had many opportunities to try some of the crazier stuff back home."

[Will Stanton]

"Sounds like a plan--gotta do something before classes start up, right?"

[Marcus Kingston]

"Yeah. I agree. Hm..well, this place I would assume has a Danger Room. The high school back home then. Besides, we could use the training on the side if we make it into the X-men teams. Even if we're not on the same teams, we'll know how to work together."

[Sara Stanton]

"Hmm, actually, you two wanna come and see if we can find it? Or would do we need to ask for permission to use it?"

Turning her head back and forth Sara tries to see if Lumis is still nearby.

[Marcus Kingston]

"I'm up for searching for it. I haven't even fully explored the campus yet. This place is huge. Not to mention, we'll be in there soon enough with all the X-team stuff happening."

[Sara Stanton]

"Looks like Lumis isn't around. Let's just see what we can find on the souther campus then. Still need to explore that area anyway."

[Marcus Kingston]

"Alright! Where should we look around first?"

[Sara Stanton]

"I do remember that all the 'X-Team' related stuff was supposed to be on the southern part of campus, so I'd say we start there."

"Alright! Lead the way."

"I'm game! Let's go see what we can see".
